I think the Bobrovsky trade is a decent risk for the BJs. The 2nd has a decent chance of being a good player but the two 4ths are unlikely to amount to anything. All for a goalie who could be a long-term solution in nets.

I like him as a goalie more than most seem to.

What I don't really understand is how Bishop goes to the Sens for only a second, at the deadline of all times, while Bob and Lindback return more a couple of months later. To me these three goalies are fairly comparable.

If I had to rate them I'd go Lindback>Bishop>Bob.

Did the Blues just panic because they had to move Bishop or did C-Bus and Tampa just overpay (just slightly in Columbus's case) because of their massive deficiencies between the pipes?

What you fail to realize is that by acquiring Bobrovsky from the Flyers, the Jackets have just made him 20-30% better than he was before. It's like a new car, but it GAINS value as soon as it leaves Philly.

I completely understand that theory.

However when the recipient of the goalie is the Blue Jackets, isn't there something there that cancels out that 20-30% by like 50%?

Yes, it's called every other player on the Blue Jackets, but that doesn't make the goalie any worse on their own like playing in Philly does.

Peter Loubardias is part of the NHL draft panel on the NHL network - That's sum kinda 1st overall draft pick.

I flipped on last night and it was Duffer moderating Button and him doing a mock draft. When I saw him on there, I couldn't change the station. (He does know his juniors pretty well, though). I was hoping he'd tell Craig that he was full of some kind of shit.

Mike Gillis and Doug Wilson are clearly discussing deal in front of us right now. Combing over draft positions.

SWhyno: #Caps acquire Mike Ribeiro from #Stars for Cody Eakin and the 54th pick.
