Not sure how the writer gets that Wilson was trashing Rangers fans by saying that Texas is a football state, which it is or that the Cowboys are a bigger draw, which they are. They have drawn pretty well the last 3 or 4 years, but there is no way they would have drawn 3 million unless they were winning. I'm not a Wilson fan, but this is just someone trying to stir up something.

Fact of the matter is, Hamilton & CJ are right? Football reigns supreme in this region. (you can tell by the amount of Cowboys fans there are...even after they have been mediocre for 2 decades almost).
After the Cowboys - it becomes a "winner's town". So whoever is winning...gets the lion's share of the fans. Hence the surge of fans coming through the gates. It is what it is....
We are a football town.
Then a baseball town, a hockey town & a basketball town.
