The good thing is that they are very close to 2nd. Much better chance to catch up than, say, Gough had in luge.

Well, when reports come out before the competition saying that the Americans and Russians have a deal in place that will give Russia the gold in the team competition if the Americans win the gold in the ice dance and lo and behold that is exactly what happens, the tinfoil group is going to have a field day.

I thought the Olympics were supposed to be about bringing us together, not constantly complaining about another nation.

There have always been lots of controversies over figure skating, diving, etc. - any sport that is "judged."

Well, when reports come out before the competition saying that the Americans and Russians have a deal in place that will give Russia the gold in the team competition if the Americans win the gold in the ice dance and lo and behold that is exactly what happens, the tinfoil group is going to have a field day.

I and my girlfriend know enough about ice dancing to know Virtue and Moir were the better team in both the short and free dance. Hell, you only had to watch all the skates to see that. Not that I am accusing White and Davis of being in on it or anything, but it seems pretty obvious the Russians did not want Canada winning any gold medals in Sochi
