People were saying Bosh was a superstar when he first came to the Heat. That is what I mean, there are probably only 4-5 actual superstars

Yeah idiots. There's at most 3 superstars in the league but probably more like 2. Lebron, Durant, and possibly Chris Paul

Irving has been in the league for 3 years. I wouldn't be comparing his number of games played over the last 3 years to a guy who is entering his 13th year in the NBA and has played professionally for 15 years.

Also, many of Parkers missed games over the past 3 seasons are because Pop tends to rest Parker, Duncan and Ginobili several times throughout the season because of their age, not injuries.

For Irving to have missed as many games as he has already is a bit of a red flag.

It's amazing. You break it down so simply, yet people still don't understand this logic. :10:

Well to be fair back then it was different. Kobe, Paul, Lebron, Wade were the ones off the top of my mind.

Irving has never had a serious injury. Rose is the real Mr Glass. Kobe too. Career changing injuries.

Some things never change, he has averaged 60 games per season. That's missing 25% of the season.

I'm beginning to see a big trend going on with Cavs fans now that I saw on the CBS boards in 09 when they were going to win the title. I really can't wait until the playoffs.

Kyrie has missed 49 games in his first 3 years in the NBA while Wade missed 29 games in his first 3 years due to actual injury. The other 3-4 games he missed was at the end of the season as starters were rested for the playoffs

Irving's injury issues go back to his HS days. His sr. year he only played a handful of games due to that pesky injury bug he seemingly can't shake.

He didn't play very many at Duke either.

Yeah Wade was a superstar until probably the last 2 years where he fell back into the star category

The Cavaliers are putting a lot of boasting on two players who could not even crack an 8 seed.
They are very good players, but it really confuses me to annoit greatness for perennial lottery team players.

Lebron is a transcendent player.
But, I am not sure that Kyrie or Love are anything half as worthy of their praise lately.

In 09' it was a surprise to me they even got there. I was happy they even had an opportunity. That wasn't a true chance in my eyes.

The Cavs were a 33 win team last year and remember 2 of the guys from that team (maybe more) are no longer with them in Deng & CJ Miles. You're expecting a whole lot from Lebron (if they don't get Love) if you think he changes that team into some finals favorite.

The Heat on the other hand were a 47 win team before Lebron signed. That is a huge difference

Irving is really good, but he couldn't even get the Cavs in the playoffs in a weak EC.

They never sniffed the playoffs in a weak east with Irving & Waiters. It's not like they missed the playoffs by a game or 2

That doesn't mean he isn't an up-and-coming star. He is 22, really?

Playing with Lebron will make him 10x better and he is already underrated. I watched him play all season and he carried this team that was injury prone. The team had no chemistry, it was 1-on-5 at times. He will be great in time, just watch and enjoy it.

The Lebron narrative has always been that he makes his teammates better. Irving and Love have been the #1 guys on their teams. They've never played with a caliber of player like Lebron. I don't think it's an unrealistic expectation to think that their games will be elevated playing alongside Lebron.

Could it be that they lacked chemistry because of him?
