Not talking you specific, but it's hilarious how many fans of different teams that have done nothing but hate on James are now photoshopping him in their teams jersey. :noidea:

Yeah, it's amazing how much more likeable a player can become when he's on "your team". My stance is that Lebron would become like Kobe for me. Not my favorite player, but glad he's on "my team".

Although, somehow I don't think CL will be tossing Lebron any bouquets if he comes to the Lakers.

All of my scenarios were only, ever, addressing the East.

But, whoever wins the East, is playing for a championship, which makes them contending.

Kind of. Were the 6ers really contending when they met the Kobe/Shaq Lakers in the Finals? Everyone knew they had no chance before the series started. If a Lebron-less heat made it through, I could see 2015 being very similar to that series.

I agree that he genuinely doesn't want him, but I equally believe that if he ever did, he would be sitting by his TV every night cheering him on.
All while at the same time, current Heat fans, who have lived and died with him the last 4 years, would be hoping he now fails.
Funny how that works.

True Heat fans would never hate him though. He provided us with some amazing performances, 4 Finals and 2 titles.

Totally agree.
The chance of an upset in a 7 game series was very little.
James' Cavs team vs the Spurs was just as outgunned,
yet people want to say he failed, vs really succeeding by just getting them there.

Raps trade Steve Novak to the Jazz. Utah envisions him as their Matt Bonner helping them win multiple titles?

LOL.

Another middling FA taking a decent chunk of the pie. The longer the upper tier FA(s) wait in a holding pattern, the less of the amount of that pie will be left.

The joke is he averaged just 8.5ppg and 5.3rpg.

Ah, that's true and thus the flaw in my theory.

No worries, pretty impressed with the quality of posters on here. A lot seem to know their stuff.....and some others are just homers. Nothing wrong with it, as long as you aren't a blind homer.

Of course but I don't think Lebron wants to go to the Mavs. I think he will only seriously consider LAC, LAL, MIAMI.

Probably, but James/Ellis/Dirk would be a sick trio and a contender. James makes just about any team a contender by being on it, except for 9-10 teams.

Yeah, that would be a bit difficult. Maybe they feel like it's pretty much between the Knicks and Lakers now that each has offered him a max deal?

Saw a Tweet a while ago and Melo is down with Phil Jackson's plan after talking to him. Think he stays in the Big Apple.

If James was smart he'd go to the Bulls, but I think he'd be intimidated by MJ's legacy.

CL will give a "golf clap" when Lebron makes a good play.

well he also visited Chicago, Houston and Dallas, so the same can be said about them and his visits

But, Time Warner was present at the Lakers meeting and the only reason they'd be there is to offer his wife a TV show imo.

People can say she could get a TV show in NY or even Chicago, but when it's part of the sales pitch? Very impressive when considering your options.

Still think he'll probably stay in NY so he doesn't have to move his little ones.

Apparently, Time Warner and AEG were both there to help with the pitch, as was James Worthy.

Melo played with prime AI and when the 6ers traded him to Denver, most on the CBS boards (not me) were calling Denver a contender. Clearly, AI and Dirk are much different and Melo was younger then, but that combination did not work so well.

AI and Melo are very similar, they are both scorers and that's pretty much it. AI got assists, but he was more of a SG than a true PG. He liked to chuck up the rock and he wasn't in his prime, he was a little past it at 32 or 33.

Which is what has him chasing rings in the first place instead of just playing and willing it to happen.

I bet you if Miami gets Gasol, Morrow/Marvin Williams, & Nelson he would still say it's enough.

The guy wants the max deal and still wants to be surrounded by 5 or 6 All Star caliber players
