This time around Lebron simply cannot blame the incompetence of his current employer

Miami did everything perfectly for him and helped him achieve all his goals.
Cleveland routinely made idiotic moves and was clearly a horribly run organization.

There was very reasonable and compelling reasons to leave Cleveland.
He did it in a complete jackass fashion no doubt, but no one really questioned why he did it.

Miami on the other hand has probably the #1 or #2 organization, great location, no taxes, clear championship pathway, and the most money to pay him.

Lebron seems to be doing the same thing over again without solid reasons like he had in 2010.
I don't see any real reasons to leave Miami.

Agree unless it's Blake Griffin.
Regardless of Doc Rivers opinion, if James wanted to be a Clipper and the only way to accomplish it was a Griffin sign and trade, they would do it.

Other that him, I'd rather just totally suck, get a draft pick and have plenty of cap space.

Even with Griffin, you'd be doing the trade based on what you're hoping that he develops into rather than as equal value to the current Lebron. Griffin is younger, so there's the possibility that he continues developing, as of right now, it's still not equal value. But it's about as close as Miami could get.

Basically here's my opinion on it

1) He wants Miami to get all these great players on thee market but yet he still wants the max

2) No way they can get guys like Pau, Deng, or Ariza if you plan on getting the max while Wade/Bosh get 12 mill or so. At most we would only be able to get 1.

3) They said there's a disconnect between Lebron & Wade/Bosh. Basically I think this mean he wants them to take a even larger pay cut. Wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to get those guys to take under 10 million per year while he get the max.

Been taking the wait and see approach for the off season. Reading too much into the rumors and potential stories circulating will drive you crazy.

Hypothetical:
Riley truly starts getting mixed signals from James, then thinks he might have to go through song and dance next year.

Does he round up Bosh/Wade, convince them to start at around 15M each, and then try to build a team good enough to win the East right now?

Turn the tables on James, letting him KNOW there is no sign and trade

I agree LBJ should go to Cleveland. Team is stacked. They don't even need Gasol.

I meant Love bc they have pieces to trade for him. They couldn't sign Gasol not even cap.

With Love and LBJ they would be the favorite in the East

I think I am ready for Lebron to go. Honestly

I'm in the same boat. I love what Lebron did for the Heat in the last four years, it's been a great run. But as horns stated, Miami put you in a prime position to achieve your career goals. Miami also stuck by you (Lebron) in 2010 when the whole world hated you. I think every great player is allowed to change teams once. Not everyone can get drafted by quality organizations like the Lakers, Spurs, Bulls, etc.

But you have Pat Riley as your GM and an owner that's willing to step out of the way to allow his basketball personnel work while also playing the luxury bill. Yes, Wade and Bosh weren't stellar in the playoffs - but if the rumors are true - I find it appalling that you're asking Wade and Bosh to take $10 mil per while Lebron takes the max. Lebron certainly is worth the money, and he certainly deserves to be the highest paid on the team.

I just think its bush league on how this is all going down based on public perception alone. It is indeed a catch 22.

They're really not stacked. You can't say they're stacked when they couldn't even make it in the playoffs in the East. Irving's talented, but health is always a question. Wiggins is a rookie and it will likely take a couple of years for him to maturate and reach his full potential. Outside of that, who does Cleveland have?

Likewise

I don't even want him to come back if it's a one or 2 year deal because it's going to be the same circus next year or the following year

If even most of the rumors are true, particularly about the 1 to 2 year contract; I'll find that CL67 is starting to become more justified in his hate for Lebron. Ah, the wonders of free agency. Who knows what will happen next?

Disagree. In today's NBA, with "stretch 4's", etc. He doesn't need an outside shot nearly as badly as in the past. Plus, he's young enough to work on it. He's capable of more offensively, he just doesn't get used as much as he could because the Bulls don't have much of an offense.

Not referring to 1 3-point shot. Gibson doesn't have much of a mid range game (most PF's nowadays can step outside and hit the 15-18 footer) and that's what I think we were referring to.

Bulls about to sign Mirotic. Great news for the Bulls. He is suppose to be the best Int player. I think this means Gasol will not be signed by the Bulls. Very happy to see him Finally come over.

I understand why the Bulls are interested in Melo, but drafting McDermott would be a waste IF Melo signs with them.

True, but in the scenario discussed, they would be adding Pau, who is deadly from 15-18 feet and even has a decent 3 point shot. That makes the need for a 3 to be able to do it, less necessary. Additionally, Gibson has improved each season in the league, so there's no reason to think that wouldn't continue. As I pointed out, he's young enough to develop a mid-range jumper. It doesn't have to be a deadly mid-range jumper, just one that teams have to respect.

Gibson would be traded if the Bulls seriously wanted Gasol. Especially with Mirotic coming over.

No need for Gibson.
