Looks like the Lakers and Knicks both have made max offers to 'Melo.

Time Warner was at the Lakers meeting. Allegedly to offer Melo's wife her own show, why else would they be there?

Well, obviously the Knicks, money wise anyway, because they can offer 5 years and the Lakers can only offer 4. Plus I think the Knicks can offer a little more money per year.

Well, obviously the Knicks, money wise anyway, because they can offer 5 years and the Lakers can only offer 4. Plus I think the Knicks can offer a little more money per year.

Extra year & something like 5% more a year & the 5th year is like 15% higher than the 4th year. That is if I remember correctly. It's been a while since I looked at that information.

I don't think offering Melo's wife a TV show will have any effect on where he signs. She loves NYC & could just as easily get a TV show there if that was what she wanted. I am sure Oprah could offer her a TV show in Chicago too.

Probably not, but a nice touch nonetheless. Lala was actually "discovered" in L.A., so she may have some fond memories.

We'll see. The offers are on the table, it's up to 'Melo and Lala now.
