I wonder why they didn't do one for the Packers?? Would the helmets look like cheese with holes in it?

The article I saw had the packers. They looked exactly the same just different shadowing pretty much. Pants and Jersey's were solid with no stripes.

These guys tend to slow down a bit when they get busted across the chops by linebacker sized safeties, though. ;)

I am thinking of investing in the Virginia 529 - VEST program. Anyone currently doing this now? I know it relies on the market so funds may not be where you want them to be now, but I would be investing for 18 years or so down the road so now is the time to get in and invest I would think. Please feel free to reply with any thoughts on this.

Overview of the program....

A 529 is the most advantageous way to save for college right now. They work much like a Roth IRA in that all of the investment growth is tax-deferred. You will also most likely get VA state tax breaks depending on what plan you choose. 18 years of market growth is a long time. Don't worry about the market today.

Feel free to DM me with any personal finance/investment related questions...it's my job.

Consider maxing out annual contributions ($5000) to a Roth before contributing to a 529, since your Roth contributions can be used for anything, while the 529 contributions can only be used for education. Also, I don't believe you have to open a 529 in the state you live in. There a handful of states that offer better 529 plans (better investment options) than VA.

Both of these are true, however you may have to pay ordinary income tax on your Roth deductions. Ideally, you should max your Roth anyways - definitely max it if you are contributing to your 401(k) above your companies match amount. You won't qualify for any state tax breaks typically if you choose a 529 plan outside of your state
