Dominique Patterson, who was listed among the Whips last year and then later moved to RB, was measured at 6'2", 236 pounds at today's weigh-in. If he still has good speed and quickness, Shane may have found our "big" goal-line RB for 2011. But, he's 18 pounds heavier than Oglesby and about a biscuit short of being an FB.

wow! sounds like patterson is going to be a beast. <--never pictured him in the 240 range.

BTW does anyone have the results of the summer workouts??? 40 times, etc etc...

if so would you mind posting them.

An update on the indoor practice facility. RFPs are out for proposals to hire consultants for design. As speculated before, the new facility is to be located in the woods behind Lane. It will also house some women's soccer practices (this is a title 9 thing, it makes it multipurpose, but football will always have top billing). Project to include Rector FH updates for total cost of 25 mill.

Love the fact that it sounds like they are going to throw in all the "bells and whistles" that they can, will be a big advantage to run a play and be able to go right back over and watch it on video.

Whoa, just saw this posted on TSL. Sounds like things are going to start heating up again. I know Weaver has said we wouldn't leave the ACC, but if a league raid is imminent you have to start looking out for #1.

Claims to have sources. Doesn't claim to know what the SEC's entire
plan is though. Specifically named VT and Clemson as possibilities (I
remember ESPN ticker last year saying SEC had no interest in FSU,
U, Clemson or GT).

Just thought it was interesting that Finebaum actually had this guy on
to discuss it.

He doesn't really say anything profound. aTm is the big fish for the
SEC, the tougher question is who comes along with them. Missouri?
OU and OSU (package deal is less attractive given small markets in
that state and having to add 2 teams to get them)? VT?

That is crazy! Doesnt make a whole lot of sense to expand to 14, hopefully VT is one of the other 2.
