i agree that they underestimate the northwest sports fans...and only take them in a direction they choose
which is...a garbage direction

Seattle Supersonics News and Updates

Seattle NBA goal takes big step forward; McMillan thinks NBA will "put a team there soon"

but some people......will never forgive them for taking them away

The NBA isn’t coming to Seattle anytime soon. They aren’t expanding and I can’t see any ownership group retarded enough to pay over a billion dollars to bring them to an arena where they’d make 1/4 of what a normal franchise does. Only conceivable way a franchise is located at the Seattle Center is if the NHL is a complete disaster and big name acts continue to choose Safeco, Centurylink and the Tacoma Dome.

Not trying to defend it because they are paid professionals. But I tried umpiring for a couple of summers with select summer ball and that shit is hard when the catcher gets crossed up as bad as he did. Just like with legit baseball, once the pitcher had an above average slider I was done.

Brian Bannister
After pitching five seasons in the major leagues for the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets, Bannister, 37, joined the Boston Red Sox as a scout and analyst before moving to the coaching staff. He possesses one of the brightest pitching minds in the game. His title: Vice President, pitching development and assistant pitching coach.

Raul Ibanez

Ibanez, 46, has been a popular candidate for previous managerial openings. He was a finalist for the Rays job when Maddon left for Chicago and has been on several other short lists, including those in New York and Philadelphia. Currently serves the Dodgers as special assistant to the general manager.

Fun but irrelevant fact of the day: Guy went to the same HS as my sister. And Seneca Wallace.

while price and bosio where considered the best up and coming pitching coaches a few years ago....

there is a new genaration coming.......gotta like bannister.....and ibanez for manager

Blue jays are not legit contenders. But in a vacuum, buying low on Sanchez is a good idea

It was more than just Seattle for why they left. It was because every single person who didn’t care about sports is why they left. The Seahawks and Mariners both should be in different cities if not for essentially illegal political moves. Women sports fans fought for the Storm, male sports fans didn’t fight for the Sonics until it was too late.

mmmmm...well...common sense..well tell you what kind of business advertising...that you get from haveing sports in a
city
and kiking a sport out of your city....gives that city a black eye..that does not go away...
