As time goes by, it isnt bothering me as much.....this team needed discipline and sounds like he will keep players accountable for their actions....
At least if he starts losing, he wont be around more than 2 yrs....i did like what i heard about him showing staff his tapes on what he was doing wrong....if he can fix the penalties and staffs side arm crap, then id be happy....

It's amazing how many complete sheep are on this board. The media tells them something and they go "baaaa" and think they know absolutely everything that went on with the coaching search. I agree with Lionstop in that we knew next to nothing in reality, yet when the media feeds Lions fans any tid-bits and says "jump" we sure do have a lot of jumpers...

I want to add just a comment on Caldwells Presser.
I love what he said, It is almost everything I wanted to hear. He had Mayhew carrying his bags into Allen Park etc etc......This is his 15 mins to shine.

He shut me up. I was impressed. The more I think about it the more I'm starting to feel like this guy is the perfect opposite of Jim Schwartz. It helps that I read about Suh paying him a personal visit and again expressing interest in re-signing long term here. SOLD! (ya I'm a cornbread eater I admit it).

I have nothing against Jim Caldwell. He is the unfortunate victim of the venomous hatred I have for Millenhew and LewanDUI. I think it's entirely possible they are ranked first and second on the list of dumbest mf'ers working in the NFL, and that includes one helluva list of really fucking stupid players.
Barnum & Bailey have nothing on the clown show in Allen Park, MI. I'm a diehard fan whose addiction to this shitty team isn't something I can rehab away. So I'll be rooting for them and for Jim Caldwell to succeed. But I will NEVER back off of Millenhew and LewanDUI. Fuck both of them. They are incompetent idiots who have done nothing but disgrace the franchise and fail to deliver any results.
I have nobody to blame but myself for not being happy over this hiring. When you have a drunk and a Millen trained jackass leading the way my expectation from the start should have been very low. Somehow I underestimated the true level of their ignorance and stupidity thinking they couldn't possibly mess up finding a coach for what is easily the most talented team of those with openings.
