Wow, you really are not paying attention are you. We are number 1 in yards and 4 in points against after 4 games. No team is even close other than Arizona. I am sure the Lions defense will have a bad game here and there. Heck even the Chargers blew out Seattle and they are "supposed" to be the best in the league.

Chalk Seattle being manhandled as a anomaly. When it happens to the Lions, cause it will happen even to best of defenses. Trust me Muzz will finally start bashing.

He had been so quiet. I had to drum up some Muzzcitement.

Damn, you pulled this thread out of the woodwork. Was this before Levy's breakout year, last year? You all have to admit, he was very average at best before last year. Guy grows a beard and becomes superman.

I searched the woodwork while watching playoffs. Muzz has been so quiet. The fact that Tpaul was involved was just some icing.

If you still think Levy such garbage that you were willing to make fun of me for propping him up last year, then you're pretty much always going to be 'that guy' who sees what he wants to see, rather than seeing what really is.

TP -- NO ONE saw Levy turning into the player he has been for the last year and 4 games. At least not on this board. The Levy discussion we had on this board was if he was average or below average. Hardly "propping" someone up.

I believe what you said regarding Levy was something like -- he is an average LB, not every starter on the team can be a star.

Well -- all of us were dead wrong on Levy, at least for the last 20 games. He has been playing light years better than he ever played in his 1st contract.

Usually people work hard, get a new contract and then relax. Levy decided to wait until he got paid to start playing good. I'm not sure if it was Tpaul but I do clearly remember reading someone post that. Someone defending Levy before he was good. lol.

Either way, not going to bitch. Nice to have a studly linebacker for once. Can't wait to get Van Noy back to roll along side with him and whitehead.

I wasn't pissed when he resigned. Just was not happy. Lord knows I am now.

I played football in high school and apparently that makes us better GMs ... So I have heard.

I remember tp and Mebert especially being happy about levy resigning and arguing with you and others that he was much better you thought he was.

I'm glad Levy has taken it to another level, one that most wouldn't have fathomed. I sure as hell didn't think this would be achieved after seeing his play the 1st 4 yrs. Let's hope he continues this current path for a few more years. Glad to have him and would love another LB'er just like him to use in those 3-4 alignments, but inside.

For those of you thinking/hoping Van Noy will come back from his injury and hit the ground running, I think you're asking a bit much from him or I'm misinterpreting what has been stated. He missed quite a bit of training camp and pre-season so he's been limited to only watching film since and very limited training to date. I merely hope for him to contribute in small steadily uprising increments for the duration of the season. Anything more than this is a plus. He was behind Palmer already and just beginning to get up to the speed of the game before the core injury. Maybe temper the expectations a little. If Van Noy can just be that edge rush specialist and create some pressure and maybe a couple sacks or forced turnovers that would be a lot, IMO. Missing all this time has to hurt his progression/learning curve some, as we've seen it before from other rookies of ours that had injuries to start off their NFL careers. All I'm saying is don't expect too much and then become disappointed if he doesn't produce the way you think he should. JMHO.

I know I made the comment of hitting the ground running. Although I do not put huge aspirations on rookies. Surely not the injured. This more of not wanting to see Palmer.

I will ask MikeD what we should get from a 2nd rd. LB?

He has all expectations scripted out somewhere...

Wasn't implying that it was you, Gandy. The remark was from old man memory and I've seen quite a few members stating similar.

I am implying I want Van Noy to Lee Majors this shit. Then Palmer can be a backup.

3 preseason games? Bc I remember Warford not starting in the preseason and some people(can't remember names) calling him a bust already bc he couldn't crack the starting lineup in preseason.

Kyle Van Noy?

Maybe we should see what he can do. I am ready to pull a Janokowski and want a kicker in the first!
