UC drew a good bracket. Syracuse's bracket stinks. No surprise that UK drew Duke as the 2 seed. They do that a lot, and this year is the 20th anniversary of "The Shot", so I'm sure I'll have to see Laettner's fucking face all tournament long. On a related note, it thrills me to no end that Duke players rarely become NBA stars. Grant Hill was the best, and injuries ruined his career, and I'm glad..Yeah I said it.

Elton Brand was a force in Chicago. Injuries and greed derailed his career in the NBA.

Battier has carved out a nice niche for himself in the NBA as well.

Agreed, though...not a Duke fan at all. They are soft this year, and I could totally see N.D. shooting their way past them.

Also agreed about UC's bracket. If they can get past FSU, they matchup well against most of the potential matchups...OSU, WVU, Zags for a sweet 16 matchup.

It all comes back to contemporary rules. Back in the 90s, we didn't force the nations best high school kids to fabricate their test scores and sign on to play a season for Coach Cal. If we did force participation, Kobe Bryant would have played for Coach K. That team would have had Wojo, Chris Collins and Kobe Bryant. It would have been the most hated squad ever assembled.

Duke is weak this season..... Their signature win was against UNC and that was more a result of UNC sleepwalking the last 2 minutes than Duke actually winning the game.

Fab Melo out for the tourney. Syracuse just dropped to a #2 seed if that news had been out before seeding took place. Spinning it that he won't be missed is crazy. You don't lose the Big East Defensive MVP and expect your team to be better from it.

Both play in games last night were crazy! I went to sleep with 5 minutes to go thinking MSVU had it all wrapped up then woke up this morning to see WKU won by 1.

I've been reading a lot of bitterness and jealousy about Cal over many boards the last couple of days. Everyone is bent because the talent he brings in, and the so called "one and dones". But what the fuck does people want him to do. These kids have to go to school somewhere. He's the best at getting the top talent. I truly believe his haters would quit hating if he promised to never recruit a 5 star again. It's pure jealousy is what it is.

On another note, Iowa State looks good, but we got bodies to handle Royce White. Iowa St. isn't long but can shoot it. Going to be a good test for the Cats, but I see us winning by 12.
