You think the Redskins who are seeking two first round picks for Williams are gonna be ok with trading him straight up for Bolles?

I doooooooooooooooooooon't think so!
I don’t think they’ll get 2 first rounders either.

But yeah, too much of a concession on their part for a straight trade.

Right- I think they need to shoot a little smaller. A first and a 3rd seems more likely to me.

It was reported today that the Broncos, Raiders, and 49ers have been in constant contact with Ruggs. Ruggs himself is the one who reported this so coming from a pretty reliable source. Another reason why the Broncos trading up to 10 seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.

As I stated a week or so ago Ruggs told me that he has had a lot of contact with Denver.

I feel like this whole week of people reporting Jeudy is the guy has been the Broncos trying to cover up some of their love for Ruggs/Lamb. Don't think they hate Jeudy by any means but just people I've talked to seem to suggest Ruggs and Lamb are the guys they like more.

Well, we have seen/heard enough draft rumors over the years to know that smoke screens are a popular thing around the NFL draft world. I never really get into the rumors that go along with the NFL draft.

I have known several players to get drafted by a team that has never spoken a word to them.

One of many examples from Denver would be Kayvon Webster. Kayvon would tell me each time a team hit him up, he had about 12 teams he had heard of, was projected to go in round 4 or 5, ends up going in Round 3 to Denver... A team that never even spoke to him.

Denver hasn't been the greatest at keeping things hush/hush, and while I think Jeudy is very much in play for them, I do agree... I think there is something to be said for a guy who apparently 6 people are reporting Denver is trying to move up for him.

Remember how upset Braylon Edwards was at the Dolphins? Nick Saban told him he was taking him #2, he was planning to make his home in Miami, then on draft day ... Ronnie Brown was announced.

I guess for me I've noticed with the Broncos they do a terrible job of keeping things hush hush for the 1st round and then do a great job of not letting teams know who they like beyond that.

I mean we knew they liked Devin Bush, Drew Lock, and Noah Fant well before the draft.

I will say 2018 was the year nobody knew what the Broncos would do but part of that was they were trying to trade up even during the draft to get their QB. Giants didn't want to trade so had to settle back and see who fell to them and even then they had a deal set up with the Bills to trade back and were surprised when Chubb fell to them.

2017 For almost 2 months there had been talk the Broncos loved Bolles.

2016 they had made it no secret how much they wanted Paxton Lynch.

Which is why for me I had been hearing the name Ruggs clear up until this past week. Makes me think the Broncos realized how much everybody and their dog knew they liked Ruggs and were hoping to squelch some of that to keep a team from gouging them in a trade up.

They have dropped the price considerably. They want a 2nd now and still nobody is biting. If Bolles is worth a 3rd, like some people say, I don't think it is out of the question.

.

I don't know man. I feel like recently we have had a few drafted players late that were linked to Denver pretty heavily.

Will Parks
Justin Hollins
Jake Butt
Trevor Siemian
Zac Dysert
Tavarres King
De'Angelo Henderson

I feel a bit moreso like the Rd 2-4 guys are guys we have no clue Denver has shown interest in.

Courtland Sutton
Kayvon Webster
Cody Latimer
DaeSean Hamilton
Demarus Walker
Dre'Mont Jones
Branden Langley
Justin Simmons
Jeff Huerman
Carlos Henderson

At the end of the day, I think overall it is pretty hard to tell who Denver will take. Weather linked or not... But we have seem several instances of players they brought in for workouts who aren't considered high picks get drafted by Denver on day 3, and we have seen several players who get drafted early by Denver in which we have showed very little interest in.

Been awhile, but I know we never had a discussion with Jay Cutler before we drafted him, which is really odd when selecting a QB.

When DeAngelo Hall was drafted by the Falcons in the first round he said 31 NFL teams contacted him. The only one that didn't was the Falcons, the team that drafted him.

Players should always make it known who has shown interest in them, it can only help, but everything becomes a mind game... Is an agent telling the truth or trying to knock his players draft stock up? Is a team telling the truth when they say they are interested? Is a team leaking false information for false information to be reported? Is a team working with a reported to create a false story?

Mind games!

I feel like the Broncos are VERY unpredictable in Rounds 2 and 3 (like most teams)

To me, it sounds like a win-win Skins would gain money and we would gain better player.

I was going to say, their is no way the Redskins would get a 1st round pick for Williams. Unless O'Brien from the Texans gets involved. Williams didn't play last year, has health concerns (red flags) and his last healthy year, he regressed as a player. He was still a good tackle, but went from top 2 to 3 tackles in the game, to just top 10. Also, his contract and age as well. He might get a 2nd, but I think that is doubtful as well unless it is a future (2021) pick.

The Redskins have turned down two offers for Williams for a first rd pick this offseason. He is a top 5 LT in this league. Only age really cost him from two first rounders. The fact that he refuses to play for them for a full year now also has them with their hands tied.

No matter what his value is, first round, second round whatever.... If you think we can trade an OT who hasn't proved he can consistently be a quality starting LT in this league, who the biggest question right now remains if we will even pick up his option next season, if he will even be our starting LT for his 4th season or if we go another route straight up for a top proven LT.... you are sadly mistaken. Look at RT Ja'Wuan James value in free agency last year and he is nowhere near the OT that Trent Williams is. People don't mess around at LT.

Gronk to the Bucs. Anything's better than playing for Belichek.

So, we may finally get the answer that is the question of Patriot success: was it Belichick, Brady and Gronk, or a mixture of both that led to it?

Then again we may not. I suspect Brady’s tank is emptier than he is letting on or wants to believe.
