Would you want DT back? He would love to return to Denver to finish his career.
Demaryius Thomas Wants to Reunite with Broncos, Finish Career in Denver

After the draft I would be willing to entertain signing him on a vet minimum deal with a few incentives. Let him compete and if he he can win a spot on the team, he would bring a little leadership to a very young unit. I think this is a low risk, high reward type of situation.

That said I don’t see Elway or Fangio making that move.

When he stopped eating meat he seemed to stop being DT. Well, that and the injury.
Ehh just draft that Rookie WR from Tenn and we have a big WR ...

The thing is DT didn't eat meat for one season of his career. He started eating it again after his down season. One of the RB's I got into indoor football lived with DT, they were high school teammates, worked out together and when DT moved to Denver this player moved with him. When I was in Denver for a game I went over to DT's house to meet up with the player.. There is meat in the house! He eats meat... I just wanted to get that out of the way because I keep seeing you post about him not eating meat! He eats meat! They both stopped eating meat for less than a year then changed their diet back to eating meat.

I love Juan Jennings the Tenn WR as you know.

As far as DT returning. I am open to it, but I doubt Elway is... Remember, DT nearly returned to us last year after the Pats first cut him, only to return to them a few days later turning us down for a return... I believe DT left a few shots at the front office after he was traded. He was good to the fans, but left a shot after the Texans/Broncos game that was directed at the front office about finding a way to lose games. This was when Houston beat Denver in OT the week after he had been traded to Houston. My gut tells me Elway won't do it because of those two things. We know how he operates. With his body breaking down the past two years I am not sure he would even make it here. He doesn't offer any special teams play. I think his shot here would be to prove he offers more then DaeSean Hamilton does as a depth WR.. If he doesn't then he would be gone. Part of me thinks it would be cool to see him back, but after watching him on the Jets last year I just felt he had very little left. His body looked broken last year. But I love DT, he is a great guy so if it happens, then COOL!

Juan Jennings late in the draft and you will have way more in the tank.

Bye, he is done.

Oops I made a typo, Jauan Jennings. Come get me Mingo!!

I would have but I shut it down too early last night. Good self policing - though.

I didn't see anyone else mention it, but D. Thomas as apparently let everyone know he would like to sign with the Broncos. That would be a trip, but hey - at league minimum? He would be fun to have around.

Report: Broncos Planning To Trade Up For Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy? | NFLTradeRumors.co

I have mixed emotions. I love Jeudy and think he is probably the best WR in this class, but it is so deep that I don't know if we're better off waiting for one to fall to us. I think if the top 3 are gone, maybe trading down would be the better option. Or stay at 15 and take someone else if someone is falling. I guess ultimately, it depends on how high they want to go and what the price would be. If he falls out of the top 10, it shouldn't cost more than a 3rd to move into 11, where the Jets are reported to be interested in moving out of possibly. And also, we are less than a week away. You have to take any report with a grain of salt.

You could trade up for OBj or Evans for an extra 3rd or wait for Landry or Adams or Latimer.

I’m pro trade up if they get their #1 target

Chris, I’m in agreement with this in principle. But then you better be really confident in your grading and rating. For instance with Devontae Adams - did Broncos have a higher grade on Latimer or Adams? We’ll never know that.

Very true. Ultimately, if we trade up for Jeudy and he turns into an All Pro, it would be worth it no matter what the price is. Even if we give up a 1st next year to do it. But, if he busts and 6 other WRs who go in the first couple rounds end up booming, it could hurt.

I just think that WR is the "sexy" pick, since it is a skill position. And with this class being so deep, maybe we should look at the trenches in the first round, then grab a WR (or maybe 2 or 3) a little later on.

True I would also present 2014 as waiting and possibly a panic move potentially once Adams went 52. We could see that scenario again.

I’m all for trading up first and foremost. I like denver being aggressive to secure a player they want

could be CB could be OT who knows

One of the reasons I am nervous about trading up is if we hit on the puck we would be looking at signing Cubb and Sutton, signing Lock and Risner, signing Fant, and then signing the WR we trade for. That is going to be a lot of money in contracts. The WR we draft this year may be the odd man out and allowed to sign else where.

IMO putting the cart before the horse. this team as been a bottom feeder for too long to worry about 3 years from now. KC is there now but they have a dynasty brewing.

Which is even more reasons not to trade up IMHO. Depth has been an issue for years, and thus the more picks you have the better. Not every pick will be right.
