Oh I agree. As with any job there should not be division with some people talking down towards others. I've always been taught to face those you have something against and try to reach a resolution as going behind their backs is the cowherd way to handle things. And if he was doing that then yeah I don't see it being a bad choice to let them go. If they do it to one coach what keeps them from doing it to the next and if that keeps happening then the divide just becomes bigger.

I don’t see Brady playing for anyone else but the Pats. Why turn down 30 mil to leave a team you won 6 Super Bowls on and you’re basically calling half the shots on? Be different if a team like the Raiders. Chargers, Buccaneers were on verge of winning a SB and needed Brady to put them over the hump. I just don’t see him leaving NE but stranger things have happened.

Broncos seem interested in Byron Jones. They have a number in mind of what they are willing to pay. Unfortunately my guess is knowing FA it won't be enough. Some are suggesting he will get somewhere in the $15.5 million a year mark. That would make him the highest paid CB in football on a per year basis.

From what I understand Broncos would want to get a deal done for $14 million a year. That is their ceiling. I don't think that will get it done.

I understand being careful about overpaying for talents but if we have the cap space and someone out there would fill a huge need what’s an extra 1.5 million a year? If we can get a real good player for 15.5 whereas if we stuck with 14 we wouldn’t, to me that seems worth it.

You are not wrong. I think as long as you are not overpaying say 3-4 guys in the same FA class then you should be fine. Right now I will say Broncos are overpaying for a couple of players in Flacco and James. Broncos cannot have two more contracts that contribute as little as those two with this FA class and expect to compete for the playoffs. So need to do some more due diligence to keep that from happening.

Byron Jones to me is one worth it as he doesn't have the injury history and fits well within the defensive structure with his versatility to play all over the field. Broncos can afford to be aggressive with Lock at least for next season looking like the man.

Now I will add that part of why the Broncos feel like they can set a cap on how much they are willing to pay is because they like other players at the position. Same with Chris Jones of I'm sure there will be plenty of teams interested. The fact that Hicks, Campbell, Wolfe, and others will be available will mean you don't have to go as crazy.

With Byron Jones there is an expectation of a player like Amukumara being available once cuts happen. He won't cost that much and we already know he is a great fit in this defense.

I agree with you.

But, I hope Belicheck and Brady are tired of being tied together - with each trying prove they can win a Super Bowl without the other. They will both fail - it that is the case.

Brady needs to be going to a team picking AFTER the Broncos in the draft. Makes QB need jump up for teams like the Chargers and Raiders possibly.
