The Eagles did just show us that you can win in this league with an upper middle class QB as long as you've got talent up and down the roster.

So you think Geno is as good as Hurts? WOW!

Hurts is a 3-1 TD int guy ( Geno 1.5-1 ). Hurts is a 65 QBR ( Geno a 53 ) Hurts completed 68% of his passes he just doesnt have to pass much, Hurts had a 103 rating Geno 93. Hurts also averages 8 ypa Geno 7.5. Wish Geno would throw less we would win more games.

I would take Jalen Hurts over Geno Smith EVERY SING DAY OF THE WEEK. Don't even have to think about it.

PS: the Hawks Defense created more pressure and got More sacks than the Eagles Defense. Why do people not know this?

Yes, Geno is as good as Hurts. Hurts getting the SBOWL MVP was by far the most laughable thing this season. He had nothing to do all season with that team winning the SBOWL.

never said anything about the MVP just that i would take Hurts over Geno every single day. The big kicker is that in 5 years he has only went over 10 INT's once and averages 7.8 INT's a year. Like i have stated a hundred times i dont care about yards if they throw more than 20 TD's and less than 10 INT's. 2 to 1 at the VERY minimum TD to INT's Geno is 1.4 to 1 for his career. Geno has thrown 11 to 21 INT's in all but 1 year when he was a starting QB ( 4 out of 5 Seasons with 11 to 21 INT's as a starter). Now add in that Hurts will run with the football as a duel threat where Geno can run but just doesn't very often. If he would pull it down instead of throwing Picks and run i could get behind him. Geno isnt "Tough" and hearing those words in the same sentence with Geno just tells me they are ego boosting. Dude is a cupcake that refuses to take the yards given him with his legs.

How often have we seen him role out and have open space to run only to throw a INT or a incompletion on 3rd down? To often thats for sure.

If they can some how "FIX" Geno's turn over problem then we will be ok but hell he has been in the league HOW long and STILL has the same issues he had as a rookie?

Geno is by far the better passer, hurts has a fairly pedestrian arm. He makes better decisions though and its not even close.

I didn't say that, but Hurts certainly has limitations as a QB. So does Geno. Neither are top tier players at their position. They both need substantially more help around them to win than guys like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and L Jackson need.

My over-arching point was you can get to and win a SB without having one of the top few QBs in the league. Russell wasn't a top 5 guy when we won it, and Hasselbeck wasn't a top 5 guy in 2005.

Of course I would love to have someone like Joe Burrow or even Justin Herbert, but unfortunately we don't.

Exactly. Every team would love to have a guy like Burrow or Allen or Brady, etc. And Burrow/Allen still haven't won a Super Bowl (at least Burrow was in one, he just got Aaron Donald'd).

Fact of the matter is, that's not that simple to do.

Now as for Geno, yes some of his decision making is not great, but he's got all the physical tools to be a top 10 passing QB in the league. What he did given Seattle's horrible OL and terrible OCs over the last 3 years is nothing short of miraculous. Put Jalen Hurts behind that shit and Seattle isn't winning 5 games. Barely 3K yards passing with the Eagles? Whatever...

I think Kubiak will do Geno a world of good. Certainly wasn't getting help from Waldron/Grubb. Carroll I will say did a good job of calming him down because Geno gets too frustrated... Kubiak has a good resume (Cousins/Purdy) with helping out QBs that IMO aren't exactly star level.

Think that would be a big reach and not one I would want them to make. Easy to understand why PFF would mock a QB for the Seahawks, aging QB who is becoming more expensive by the year so of course the QB position is a concern. Especially with the backup looking so bad. Feel the Seahawks could wait until later in the draft to take a flyer on a QB, Dart is not much above some of the QBs that could be had much later IMO.

Seattle is staying with Geno IMO. I don't think Kubiak's comments were 'fluff'. Geno was top 5 in yards and top 5 in completion percentage, all behind one of the worst OLs in the league with hardly any run support and a College offense.

That said, he does need to stop turning the ball over with some stupid throws and realize when running is better, MAYBE Kubiak can help him on that.

I don't know much about Dart, but I'm fine with Seattle drafting QB, OL, or DL in the 1st. And that's it. Build the trenches and/or QB position. I see Seattle taking a QB in the mid rounds to be honest. I think PLENTY will drop. Seattle does save quite a bit of cap moving on from Geno so if the goal is to target OL heavily in free agency with that extra $30M and plug a new QB in for Kubiak to work with (did good with Cousins/Purdy), fine.

It would be the biggest reach in Schneider's career by far.
But, this is the guy that wanted Wilson in round 1 too and Now he has no one to rein him in so it wouldn't shock me if the does it

Well he hasn't invested jack in the QB position since he's been hired but yeah he's painted himself into a corner by not addressing the position in the last few years in any way meaningful and with Geno nearing the top age wise a successor is needed pretty darn soon.

None of these old fellows appeal much and everyone of the teams that have one of these QBs are searching for their next QB as we talk here. It's like passing up filling gas until the needle is touching E and hoping you reach a gas station.

It'll be a shame because the 2026 draft will be a far better class

I'm not saying draft Dart or anything, but any GM would be ecstatic to get the production out of their first round QB that Seattle got out of Wilson. So, I'm just not sure how this is some sort of put down of Schneider's ability to draft.

I've always said, if you need a QB in the near future (we do) and you think your guy is there, go for it. I will place more emphasis on that now because Kubiak is here who did good things with Cousins/Purdy who many considered to be a non-factor.

I know I posted the funny 'woof' emote from Home Alone, but frankly I have zero professional ability when it comes to scouting NFL QBs or players for that matter. So if Schneider thinks Dart is their guy... fine.

Again, I really don't mind what they land on, as long as it's OL, DL, or QB. Stick to the 3 most important positions. And if drafting a QB in the 1st means ditching Geno to free up $30M cap? Spend that on OL/DL. As most of you know, I had zero problem with the Howell trade, as well. Doesn't look like it'll work out, but hey... you're making moves for the most important position in all of sports. Not a fucking injury prone safety (which I did grade high... FML, lesson learned. I had to convince myself that was a good trade).

Even if those position have had all the cream skimmed off by the time the Seahawks draft? I expect those three positions to be drafted by teams ahead of the Seahawks in the draft,. Should the Seahawks reach for one of those positions or draft a available stud at another position? This is the question the Seahawks have to answer regularly come draft time and they have answered it differently at different drafts. Not a big fan of trading back but it's a option, just not an appealing one for me.

I really don't care Harold. We drafted before the Rams (with Murrphy) and per various reactions McVay was not happy.. and then he got two better DL than we got anyway.

Not saying Murphy is a bust. Just draft OL/DL/QB. We need all 3. There's ZERO reason to be drafting TE, WR, DB, S, etc. right now. We have to find a replacement for Reed/Hankins and eventually Williams... we need OL in general (EVERYTHING but LT, which fortunately we have), and a replacement QB.

So yah, just draft BPA at those positions. That's where I'm at.

Would it shock you if dart is taken at 18?
