? We had 2 2nd round picks for 2025? I don't recall that.
I very well might have swapped some picks from other drafts as they blur together. We had a couple rounds with 2 picks this year not counting our comp picks we will get and we traded one of them away. I know Dodson, Fant ( OL ) and Brown ( TE ) all removed comp picks ( which sucks ). It might have been a 3rd. To sick to go dig for it though. Maybe i still have the Adams trade stuck in my head. lol
Here's what Field Gull has for the Seahawks 2025 draft:Oh wait, I'm getting my years mixed up. Dodson/Fant/Brown could cancel out compensatory in the 2025 draft but their ACY value might not be high enough, and we're only talking about prob. canceling out Wagner (with Dodson). Jerome Baker was terminated/released by the Dolphins, so they get nothing.
And reading another article, Dodson will cancel out a 6th that we get... which may actually be for Parkinson (maybe that's why he's not listed on overthecaps compensatory page).
I have a sneaking suspicion they take a TE in round 1, Tyler warren if he makes it there or loveland.

I thought that moreso earlier in the season. But Barner really stepped up his game as the season progressed and I would be surprised if they used an early pick on a TE.
If we cut Fant and save $9M on the 2025 cap, I can definitely see an early pick on TE.
Not sure. I am usually not a fan of picking TEs in rnd 1, but on occasion there is a prospect worthy of it. I don't dive into the draft like I did earlier in life, so I just don't know where the prizes might be at that spot. Interior OL is our weakest area, but I doubt we do that at 18. We sorta lucked out in each of the last 2 drafts around this same area by getting the 1st D player off the board last year and then the 1st WR in '22, but I am not holding my breath for a similar chance this time. Is it a trade down year?A 1st rounder though? I like Warren and Loveland, and it would be funny to have Michigan alum TEs, but I don't think they would make that sort of investment.
Ill be shocked if schneider makes a sensible pick that doesn't make me want to throw my tv out the window. Not sure. There's fair criticism to be sure on the overall track record of Schneider early in the draft over the course of the last decade+, but I have zero complaints about the last 3 years of 1st & 2nd rounders: Byron Murphy, Devon Witherspoon, JSN, Derick Hall, Charbonnet, Charles Cross, Boye Mafe, and Kenneth Walker are 8 of the last 9 choices in those 2 rounds since 2022. That's damn good, notwithstanding the "we shoulda picked so-and-so" hindsight.Ill be shocked if schneider makes a sensible pick that doesn't make me want to throw my tv out the window.
TE, S, CB something like that is what i expect

i have philosophical differences here. i dont think CBs should be taken that high, especially when they are 5'9 and i dont think RBs should be taken early at all, they are a dime a dozen.
