The more I think about it, the more it kind of makes sense.

A team in the teens, could trade out of the spot, take 3M in cash and the 30th pick from the Warriors. The team could then flip the 30th pick for cash again probably around 2M.

Basically the team the Warriors initially traded with could clear upwards of 2M in cap hold by getting rid of the pick all together, while pocketing 5M. That's probably the best case scenario for a team looking to shed cap space.

Boston, with this many picks, won't draft for need if they can't get rid of the picks. They'll just draft the BPA at each selection and either hold on to them or flip them at a later time.

The Boston Celtics have too many picks, the Philadelphia 76ers don't have enough guards. They've been flirting for months with a trade, and it sounds like talks are once again increasing with the Sixers interested in nabbing a second top-five pick.

They have Smart, who I'd like to deal.

ANd IT2 who can't defend anyone. And is more of a combo guard .
