Thought I'd start a separate thread to not get confused in the off-season thread.

Draft is on Thursday. Lots of teams looking to move picks.

For the Warriors, I have a couple of interesting thoughts on who they should draft. They could go a number of different routes based on who is available, but here is my wishlist:

1) Diamond Stone. After watching what happened to the Warriors, they could use a big who can rebound and more importantly provide some offense in the paint. He's got a great low post game and it could really help balance the team to have someone who can work around the hoop.

2) Caris Levert. Barnes is probably gone this off-season and Levert could be another wing player to help contribute. His strength and durability are a question, but his skill set fits what the Warriors like a glove. He can handle, shoot the 3 and defend multiple positions.

Woj and the Vertical are going to do a live draft show. This would be super interesting if it was televised, but unfortunately I'll be stuck watching Jalen Rose and Jay Bilas give their opinions. Meh.

I'm about 99.9% certain the Lakers get Ingram but there's a part of me that's afraid they'll fuck up and draft Buddy or something at #2

Agree. Why wait? The season was over for half the teams months ago
The scouting department is still working even though their teams are still in the playoffs. NFL draft should be no later then the 1st week of march.

I understand the NFL draft is a bit more complicated compared to the NBA but yes you're correct, first week of March is definitely doable

The NBA also has good reason to hold the draft right away because of the Summer League. For me Summer League has built a lot of interest. It's like a mini-holdover from the end of season to the next.

I've only really watched the Summer League for the past few season to see what the new players do. Previously the Lakers never had any good picks to showcase

Hence, why as a Warrior fan, I always watched every year with intrigue. I remember thinking Anthony Randolph was going to be the next big thing. Summer League usually won't tell the real story, but it gives some hope.

I never take it seriously, or even care for that matter but it's a bit of fun to see what the next generation of players can do

2 more days. Im really interested in what My bulls will do. Do they take best player Available or draft a PG. They already said they will not sign Brooks and Moore will be tough to sign because of the good year he had.

The Kings could use good lottery picks in back to back years, did well last year with WTCS. Would love for them to get Dunn but that seems impossible unless they trade up into the top 5. After that it's Murray or Hield, the back court has a lot of question marks right now so drafting a guard seems like the way to go. As long as it ends up better than drafting Jimmer, Ben, and Nik...

With Rondo being unknown at this point, would you take a guy like Dunn if he's still on board? Also are you sold on WCS or would another PF like Ellenson or a C like Poeltl be something you think the Kings would consider?

Read somewhere that the Grizzlies have strong interest in Malachi Richardson. I remember reading that they asked him to shut down other workouts. Saw his name floated in mid to late 1st round, but I saw another mock (not sure about legitimacy) having him in the early second round.

A lot of the mocks are thinking Sabonis if he's available. I didn't see the Zags play much last year, but I've seen a bunch of highlights. He looks pretty good, probably would be the best player Available if he made it that far. He'd probably be a starter if Gasol and Noah are both gone, so he could impact right away. Id be happy with that pick, like I said I don't know much about him, but his pedigree is obviously a good one.

#2: Brandon Ingram

#32: hoping one of these guys is available (NBADraftNet and DraftExpress mock #s):
Damian Jones (just had surgery) (#23, #28)
Patrick McCaw (#37, #41)
Thon Maker (intriguing, but a project) (#22, #36)
Brice Johnson (#25, #30)
Stephen Zimmerman (#28, #43)
Malik Beasley (#17, #26)
Tyler Ulis (#45, #33)

It's amazing how much fluctuation there is between these two sites.
