To be honest, E. Beltre and Kirkman could be released and it wouldn't bother me. They don't deserve to be blocking spots for players that are more deserving. Hell, Adduci is playing better than Beltre. Kirkman will more than likely be successful for another team, but I see it as a Chris Davis situation.

Now that Choice is probably in the fold then I could see Beltre being let go, I'd like to see what Choice does against ML pitching full time before giving up on Beltre

I'm done with Kirkman, he's probably sealed his fate today

That's true, that's probably the smart thing to do there.

:agree: time to part ways with Kirkman.

"The No. 1 prospect in baseball heading into 2013, Profar spent most of the season in the majors but got only intermittent playing time because the Rangers had to placate the whiny veteran they had at second base. That veteran is now in Detroit, lobbing verbal bombs at the organization that paid him $15 million last year to block its best prospect, so Profar has the second-base job all to himself. His true talent level wasn't that of a .280 BABIP guy -- his figure in 2013 -- and he is a year stronger as well. I see .280/.345/.400 this year with above-average glovework at second."

Damn, that's a hot sports opinion by KLaw.

Perez has not looked good this spring. And I agree that Kirkman needs to be gone and to be honest I doubt he is successful anywhere else. I do not want the feeling of gloom setting in when he comes into a game like I felt last year.

Not well enough. Starting in AAA is probably best for him. That way he can continue to work and be ready when we need him.

yeah, a little dissapointed but not surprised, needs time. Not unusual.

by reading what others have posted, we should be able to get through the injury window assuming Harry and Colby are on track.

to anyone...
How has St. Schep of the Fields looked?

always a little concern with someone so young, but ya know, he should come around.
probably a mental thing, he was fantastic and now there's that expectation...that can mess with a guy a little.

He was solid through 4 today.... the 5th inning...with the defensive screw-ups hurt.

Actually Perez looked pretty good today. He ran into some bad luck with Beltre missing the fly ball by 30 ft. He left a ball up to Gomez, but other than that I thought he looked good.

I just went out to the Box score and saw that so I was about to say that at least he it was not until the 5th and then I saw what you and Justin had to say so that is good to know.

I was listening to TAG on ESPN Dallas interview and he felt 8 years in the minors for Beltre means it is time to go. I have to agree with TAG on that one.

Not to mention young pitchers like him are usually working on some pitch like a curveball that they didn't throw last year with much success, now's the time to work the kinks out on things like that in live game action

I think he sticks around until Moreland gets back and Choice rotates in and out of the DH spot with the other guys

I'm finally on the kirkman needs to go train. Walk the first four batters you face? Wtf? Talk about a mental midget.
