Ryan Roberts was released by the Cubs. He might be better than our backup options as the utility IF

I think the dude they went with will be alright enough. Roberts and he are mostly a push.

Choice makes the big club as the 4th OF. Isn't Moreland the 4th OF? Or is he the backup 1B/DH? Of of Martin/Rios/Choo/Choice/Moreland looks pretty good right now. Wonder if we can trade Engel for anything when he gets healthy.

Donnie Murphy and Ryan Roberts are probably a push defensively though Murphy could play SS or Roberts could play LF in a bind. Think Roberts brings a little better bat than Murphy unless Donnie could repeat last years stats for a prolonged period. Last year offensively sticks out for Murphy as it doesn't appear that was an avg year for him. Anyway I sure was wanting to see a full year of JP at 2nd, damn injuries.
