The whole Nolan vs JD mess falls at the feet to of the great Tom Hicks.

JD & crew were new and extremely young, and Hicks hires Nolan, unbeknown by JD, and put Nolan in charge without ever really setting the chain of command. Made for more than a few awkward moments and JD was on the radio this week stating this.

As far as Nolan getting the credit, IMO he never campaigned for this, but the fans naturally gravitated too him because they didn't know anyone else. JD preferred to stay in the background, especially back then, so naturally no one put him front and center.

There was more insecurity around them than between them. They made this work. Ryan’s departure should not be viewed as some failure by the organization, but rather a personal decision by Ryan. The Ryan-Daniels management team shouldn’t be split into “Nolan Guys” and “Daniels Guys.” It should be viewed exactly for what it was: A successful team that overcame personality and background differences to guide the Rangers to long-term relevancy.

I'm surprised nobody has said anything about Elvis and his injury. I'm a little concerned. I think he's having more tests done today.

Somebody did, but until we have some results then there's nothing to really to talk about

I think we should be concerned about EA and his sore arm. After 3+ weeks of ST he should have already played through the soreness. However the MRI was negative and he will be seeing the team doctor later today. At least with a negative MRI we know it's not anything serious and let's just hope he'll be able to play through it. He needs to be at SS and in the lineup.

That puts Rios or Profar in the 2 hole. I think Profar has a chance to take over the 2 spot anyways, but it's premature for that.

From what I've heard the club doesn't want to move Profar to SS right now because of his shoulder. They want to keep him at 2nd. I think Wilson or Lillibridge would have to fill in at SS.
