I'm surprised the Sens put Cory Conacher on waivers, someone's definitely going to claim him - that being said, they must have a big trade up their sleeves

Kind of surprised they waived him too. However, they have a bunch of guys who are chomping at the bit in Binghamton. Also Mike Hoffman has come up and played better than Cony the last couple of games.

I think there is a CHANCE he clears but not a very big one.

I hope it means they are bringing in a bonafide NHL player.

There's a reason why that's the case - Remember Andy Delmore (better known as Andy Elmore because there's no 'D' where Andy is concerned) - Same goes for Joe.

I admit, haven't watched a lot of Sens games this year. But he used to skate well and paired with a D conscience he could fill the "warm body" role.

Flyers are shopping Meszaros, asking price is a 2nd rounder.

SOLD! You can have Boll too.

Send everyone to Pittsburgh!!!

:D

Except a goalie. :suds:

He's a good player, a strange waiver move. I think Murray is up to something. Family dealings with Tim for Moulson?

Single player deal, I'd say maybe a conditional 2nd/3rd with similar conditions to the Miller to STL deal.

You can have him for free if you take Leino though.

I guess I missed the edit window. Here's what it would have said:

EDIT: Forgot Buffalo already owns Minny's 2nd this year from the Pominville trade. With next year's draft expected to be stronger, that's probably a more valuable pick.

I wouldn't be surprised though to see more in this deal (if it happens). Maybe Stafford and Halak plus a 3rd back to Minnesota for this year's 1st and next year's 2nd.

Flyers may take that offer. Idk what happened to Mesz :noidea: He was good, just always hurt.

Ducks were going to send Freddy Andersson down to the A this morning, but haven't yet and just pulled Fasth off the ice at practice.

I just want Boll out of here, so I am attaching him to any trade. Two minor leaguers? Throw in Boll.

As for Mesz, he's just not a "Flyer" style defender. The fans want to see crushing checks and aggressive, grinding corner work. He's just not going to do that. The Jackets are a breakout pass / puck control team. I would take him in a second if the cost is only a second rounder.

Have to assume any deal involving Anaheim would include one of their fleet of goalies/goalie prospects.

Agreed on all accounts. Ehrhoff or Mesz would be a solid fit for the Jackets. Even Robidas.

Maybe Anaheim has a deal in place for Vanek? :noidea: Isles desperately need goaltending.
