A Briere for A-Train swap would be a solid move for the Devils, no idea if the Habs would have a need for him. Similar in pay, A-Train is signed for 1 year more. Briere's salary coming off the books after next year would be big since Schneider will be a free agent.

Wouldn't be a bad swap at all, especially to save money for Schneids.

Hmmmm, hopefully the Preds acquired some sort of offensive talent. Team is filled with too many bottom 6 players.

I hate that guy, think Dubinsky stays with the Jackets.

If the Jackets traded him, Bob or Johansen the Arena would be reduced to rubble within an hour.

Portzline just keeps shoveling shit in hopes that a paper in New York, Chicago or LA will hire him.

Agreed, I can't stand the guy.

Gotta believe Dubi is a fan favorite and his teammates love him, can't see them dealing him away. Only thing I can see them doing is restructiring that contract of his.

Completely. Him and Foligno seem to be the glue that holds the room together. I honestly can't believe they haven't stuck the "C" on his chest yet.

Granted, in the business of the NHL, no one is truly untouchable. But Dubinski means so much to this fan base that Jarmo would have to be pants on head retarded to move him.

To be quite honest, i'm pretty shocked myself that he hasn't been named the Captain just yet. There was a reason he wore an ''A'' here in NY and not for Cally being the Captain, Dubinsky was next in line.

Guy does everything you want in a hockey player, can score, kill penalties, play the pp, great forechecker, just a shame he was moved because of that 4.2M dollar cap hit.

but seriously 43 ... you say the cap will be going up but cbj arent historically a perrenial spend to the cap team ... they usually have an internal budget that is below the cap ... that type of money to 2 goalies makes no moneypuck sense at all ... example, it restricted the canucks from getting the 2 top 6 forwards that they needed to remain a cup contender

More fans calling for Gillis to be removed or to make a move, most are quite happy with the job Torts has done.
