Yo, Darkstone. I just tried to add rep for that message, for two reasons:

1. It gave me a good chuckle.....

- .....as did your new tag line ("Will Post for Food").

Sadly, my attempt was rejected again, giving me the message that I need to spread reputation around before giving it to you again. Then I tried to add rep for 4 other posts by 4 different posters..... and got the same message each time.

That's the one thing I don't like about this board. That "spread it around" doctrine isn't working well at all. :nonod:

Haha, quite alright. The rep spreading is mostly due to the large density of posters on the main board, as well as some other well-populated boards, like the NHL board (which I frequent), and the Flyers' board tsk.

The system saves your last five reps, so whoever the five posters on this board you repped were the last five posters you repped. So if you find one more poster to rep, you will then be allowed to rep one of the five you already tried it on.

It's a lengthy process, and kind of annoying, though.

I was going to hold out to see if Darkstone would change his prediction, but since he is "winning" Charlie Sheen, I will make a different guess. I will go 87-75. I would go higher, but it now seems likely that Burnett will be pitching for us this coming season. I was going to predict exactly what Darkstone predicted but upon further review, I feel pretty good about 87 wins.

If you want an explanation for my choice of 87, let me know, it was actually easy for me to come up with, and no I am not joking.

Mags, pretty basic psychology for me. Every year in the prediction thread, I don't remember year one for sure, but every other year I have predicted 5-6 wins above the actual total. This year I honestly think we will win 81-82, so I just guess 5-6 wins above that. I would love to see 87, but really only think 82 will be about where we end up, so I hedged up for the games I am normally off.

I had a similar experience in the previous contests at the ESPN board..... always overestimated the number of wins the Pirates ended up with. Hope that doesn't happen in 2012.

At any rate, I note that 82-80 (and 81-81) remain available right now. Just let me know if you want to change.
