Agree with most of this, Brown is another good example. Regarding Rice I never bought the theory that a 27 year old RB was done after only one off year and after playing only 6 seasons. Teams simply do not write off 27 year old Pro Bowl players after only one bad year, someone always is ready to give them a look. No he was blackballed.
Back to Gordon let's not forget our own Tanard Jackson who is proof that multiple offenders get very harsh sentences including the death penalty. Unless you are Josh Gordan apparently. He has done everything possible to get a longer ban.
I thought the owners were going to strip Roger of his duty of handing out punish!emt, what happened there?
Rice wasn't blackballed. Teams just didn't want the headache. Also, the year before he sucked badly.
What is the difference between "not wanting the headache" and being blackballed? Bottom line is every team in the league unilaterally decided not to sign a 27 yer old All Pro after only one off year that could very well be explained by OL issues.
In a league where 42 year old Shaun Alexander got a look and Greg Hardy (among others with a terrible past ) got new deals it should be obvious that the word was out to not touch Ray Rice. The only difference between Ray Rice and Brandon Marshall, who did far worse multiple times, was there was video of Rice which magically made his crime worse than a multiple ofender. That of course is complete bullshit.
I think it comes down to if it is all the teams/owners colluding to make sure he doesn't get a chance, or if all of the teams separately come to the decision that they don't want to sign him. I have no idea if he was blackballed or not, though I do have a hard time believing that no one would even have a look-see. It's not like the NFL hasn't colluded before...if anyone knows that, it's us and the Boys with the cap penalties.

Exactly. I am in no way excusing Rice's behavior. But he has already paid the price and looking at other players who have been given second and third chances for multiple incidents I really believe Rice was treated unfairly and it was a concerted decision made between all the teams.
I agree with your stance Shark; however, I can understand the backlash.
I vaguely remember watching Young Frankenstein 25 plus years ago and thinking - This is the funniest movie ever. Gotta watch it again and see if it holds up.He and Richard Pryor were the most unlikely duo but so freaking funny. Great in Doctor Frankenstein too. That hold cast made that movie though.
DGF.. I guess we come from different schools of thought. I agree you never attack a woman. And had he punched her from jump, or continued to press it after she went down.. I would say he was dead wrong. BUt taking the whole thing into account, he tried to walk away, she followed him into the elevator and continued to press it. From your view he should have curled into a ball and just let her beat him until they got to their floor.
