Showed some flashes and had some learning moments. Overall positive and becoming a fan favorite with his interactions on and off the field.

Looks like he will be in with the 1's on third down in nickle for now. He's been with the ILBs all TC -they want him to master that position initially.
Thnks Cali it will be interesting to see the role he fills. He's extremely versatile. I'll put it this way with college football season just around the corner. SC A team loaded with 4 and 5 star talent. Are having a hell of a time.Finding someone that comes remotely close to filling Cravens role.

As far as what the coverage from the USC twitter feeds. I can see why he has a high potential to be a fan favorite. He's really embraced DC,is extremely entertaining and plays the game with passion. Good luck on the upcoming season skins fans :suds:

Something tells me this will be a big topic in the next CBA. Owners are NOT going to want to give up the non shared profits from preseason games without a way to make up for the lost earnings.
Yeah, don't see this happening be cuz of $. But it wouldn't surprise me to see a reduction in preseason games.

Actually I wanted to talk about how he was creeping on his wife months after their first baby. Would this be filed under Drama and Immature?

I'd file that under just another Tuesday in my book. Josh Gordon is a fuckin stud. I know there's been talk that the Browns should trade him, but I'd roll the dice with dude and keep him.

Skins cut Willie Jefferson - to my surprise and disappointment. Willie Jefferson has a history with Josh Gordon going back to Baylor. They fell asleep in the same car at a Taco Bell drive thru. I'm guessing that wasn't the only trouble they got into together. But Gordon as a WR was almost as big as Jefferson at OLBer - kinda like Terrell Owens.

Yeah, I remember that Taco Bell drive-thru napping/passing out. They must've had a hellified load on for both of them to "nap" at the same time.

Gordon definitely has that man among boys vibe. If he can keep his head on straight. He has a chance to do some things still. If he could've kept his head on straight when he first entered the NFL....wow.

Ray Rice gets blackballed, Sean Payton gets a year and Josh Gordan gets chance after chance. I know he's sitting 4 games but he should have gotten much more than that given his resume. But this is life in the world of Roger Goodell where nothing makes sense.

As for his ability, stud no doubt. But no way I take a chance on that ticking time bomb.

And the Giants Josh Brown just received a one game suspension for his suspected spousal abuse incident. Something I had not heard of at all till I watched the most recent airing of The Sports Reporters. I agree with you though. Goodell is literally all over the map with his punishments and I couldn't help, but wonder far as Brown's case goes. If the Mara's had any influence on his seemingly light punishment.

Far as severity of alleged misconduct goes and what we the public have been privy to. Josh Gordon's crimes are pretty much harmless in my eyes. He likes to smoke weed. He may even be addicted to it. He didn't knock his wife or any other woman the fuck out with a straight right to the jaw like Rice did. Nor was he involved in any premeditated plan to purposely knock out or injure an opposing player in a game. Which in part seems to be part of why Payton lost a year of coaching,

And if we're being completely forthcoming. Even before the elevator KO. Rice looked to be well on the wrong side of the can he still effectively produce results on the field of play issue. Gordon's on the other hand still looks like he has a tankful of gas in that area. I'm sure that's factored into Rice's and Gordon's present situations somehow.

Agree with most of this, Brown is another good example. Regarding Rice I never bought the theory that a 27 year old RB was done after only one off year and after playing only 6 seasons. Teams simply do not write off 27 year old Pro Bowl players after only one bad year, someone always is ready to give them a look. No he was blackballed.

Back to Gordon let's not forget our own Tanard Jackson who is proof that multiple offenders get very harsh sentences including the death penalty. Unless you are Josh Gordan apparently. He has done everything possible to get a longer ban.

I thought the owners were going to strip Roger of his duty of handing out punish!emt, what happened there?

Can we even think of Jackson as a Redskin? I'm not sure he ever practiced as a Redskin or donned a Skins uniform. What the hell did he do again anyway?

I don't think the owners planned on stripping Roger of his handling out punishment duties. At least not w/o getting a serious concession or 2 from the NFLPA come next renegotiation time. That's too big of a feather in the owners cap to just give away.

Edit:

I remeber now. Like Gordon's ass. Jackson's ass couldn't show a modicum of self control and stay away from the weed for a small period or time...............fuckin idiot.

It appears as if you are correct. like everything this is a negotiation between the union and the owners. Why I don't know, seems like the owners would want it too seeing as they get their ass kicked every time a player sues them.

Potential deal would strip Goodell of discipline

Back to Gordan you are right, neither could demonstrate any form of control even with their careers on the line. The difference as I said is Jackson's is over and Gordon has been given more chances than anyone not named Steve Howe.

Heh. I compared Gordon to Steve Howe the other day to another dude. He was too young to know who Howe was. You're on point though. Gordon has had chance after chance after chance and I don't know why. Maybe Goodell wakes up on the right side on the days he's gonna mete out his punishment to Gordon. Its as good an answer as anything else I've heard.
