I'm all for equal treatment to apply to all. If you lock up men for putting hands on women. Lock up women who put their hands on men. You wanna lock up a 23 year dude for zoomin a 16 year old girl. Lock up 23 year old females zoomin 16 year old boys etc. Unfortunately we have double standards that apply to situations of physical and sexual abuse as it relates to men and woman. Though I'd also opine that women aren't bulletproof as it relates to facing consequences in today's society. They may be able to push the envelope further than men generally speaking, but they aren't bulletproof.

That said. Sure, I can see scenarios where striking a woman with extreme prejudice could become a necessity. I've literally lived some or came close to it. Your wife being a drunken chickenhead and spitting on you either just cuz or provoked, which I think was the Rice's elevator scenario, isn't one of them. Janae Rice was wrong in what she did/was doing in that elevator. Ray Rice knocking her out with a straight right was wrong to the 3rd power, squared, times pie, plus 2.

This is what I know. she wasn't wielding a gun, knife, bat, bottle, pot of hot grits, vat of acid, tomahawk, spear, speargun, billyclub, nightstick, kel lite, brass knuckles, roll of quarters, skillet, blackjack, blow dart tube/darts, platform shoe, brass knuckles, crowbar or a spider monkey with a bad disposition. And now that I think about it. He was all up on her straight up abusing her imaginary personal zone and he spit in her face. Backed up and possibly was sizing shit up waiting for the right moment. The whenn she came at him, likely armed with nothing, but the desire that she had learned to make and hock a real luge as a kid. She walked directly into that right moment and the straight right Ray greeted her with. Then upon the elevator doors opening. Ray dug her out of the elevator like he was disappointed that she had the audacity to get knocked out cold on the first punch..

As its possible that I could hold the world record for a man who's been slapped in the face or hit with whatever's handy by a literal multitude of women,. If such a record were to exist. I can't say I do remember that time of which you speak. Though in all fairness. There's a part of me that feels when I've admitted to a woman who was or thought she was in an exclusive relationship with me. That yeah, I'm fuckin around on you. And in a few cases, have been caught redheaded with a part of my body inserted in some part of the body of a homegirl or a cousin or a sister or a stepmom...that happened just once, of a female who thought she was in said exclusive relationship with me. If she wants to sla/punch the shit outta me. I owe her that much. Actually I used to give em two to get it out their system. As I became quite skilled in rolling with a punch or slap, or ducking a thrown shoe, bottle, knife, whatever. Though there were a couple times, I should've had eyes in the back of or side of my head or not trusted as much in my bobbing n weaving skills.

Bottom line is this. I may be a cheating, two timing, if my mouth is moving I'm probably lying ass0 cockhound when it comes women and relationships. I'll lie up on some pussy, dazzle if I can, but baffle if I must for the pussy. Fwiw IMO - neither genders should be slapping/punching/spitting/etc at each other...both genders should be personally accountable for their behaviors if they do.

That said, males typically have the size/strength advantage and for that reason alone, they are going to be viewed more harshly because of that lens.

Every situation has mitigating circumstances and allowances but knocking out a female who is smaller/weaker and who has no weapon doesn't get much sympathy from me at all, no matter the reasons.

And as I've badmouthed Ray Rice a bit in a couple previous posts. I'll also say this about him. It would appear however unlikely it may seem given the elevator video. That his physical abuse of women started and stopped in that elevator. I know there are some folks out there that don't believe something like domestic violence and spousal abuse is a one n done deal, but a habitual pattern that can't help, but repeat itself.

Given that crickets is all we've heard since the video was released far as Rice putting hands on another female. While I wouldn't stake my life on it. I'd be comfortable wagering Cali's left nut and Dave's right nut on it.

If that is Rice's only incident and I think it just may be. He went big, real big, with it.
