i did not know mack was ranked at..18 by mlb...but its ok the idea
is to set up AZL with a high ranked...HS pitcher and catcher...for 2 years.....which is about what it takes..for them to progress to a low A lvl
also
a HS ....outfield,..!B..and SS..maybe on the ticket...if they feel they like some of those prospects

while with the mariners having no more rookie league
they will not need as many players..to fill those slots...but they still have a mostly full roster...of guys at everett rookie...so..moving those guys up
will fill the next lvl ..with excess...they will almost certainly need to draft ...

way more HIGH school guys...this year

my mock so far

1colton cowser.......L/L RF
2Steven Hajjar..........LHP...or...Pete Hansen.LHP..texas.......im not sold on Jorge Benitez..or Max Roberts..both LHP..at least ....so far
3..Eric Hammond.......RHP...HS (tex)
4 catcher.......................HS

seager..a free agent in 2023....35 years old ..shed could take over...but he needs to get a bit better

seager..could be a trade option...anytime..from..2021..trade deadline to..2022 trade deadline..he only makes 15 mil..in 2022
which..would keep...haggerty...in play...if that happend
either
shed long..at 2b or 3b..or dylan moore
then haggerty would be..the super utility...but...sam can play anywhere as well

so if either
haggerty
or
shed long..breaks out....

that could be a trade time...for seager....in speculation

prob a bad deal ..but i would trade ..seager and bishop ....now to atlanta..for...which would help the mariners ...bull pen
and a few prospects..to help fill in..at arkansas...lol...mariners would prob have to eat...a few mil.....ouch...lol

Sean Newcomb
Sean Newcomb 15L/L6' 5"25506/12/1993

newcomb has not done well as a starter...which maybe the mariners could deal with...which is why he is in the bull pen for atlanta
but he is a good pitcher...just look

the thing is...mariners could use a LH..pitcher in the bull pen...and newcomb can start...as well

don't get me wrong..i like seager...but...for his career....he is..33 years old..he needs to be with a team that wants to win...now

atlanta..for example

mariners..have guys..that can hit 240...hopefully..lol..shed long..can hit as well as seager..and prob..would be better at 3B..than second
defensively
im guessing..on that..but it would seem....as you dont need as much range..at 3B

a trade would also..make haggerty..the super utility..and possibly..make eric filia
..on the 40 man...all good things..if you ask me......and i would get to see if eric could do ..mlb..at 320..lol
i could go forward..with that
and france..plays 3B as well..as well as moore and haggerty..that is my case for trading seager

The Mariners are in agreement on a minor league deal with right-handed reliever Jimmy Yacabonis, per an announcement from the team’s player development department.

i did not really..read the part..greg johns wrote on seager ..till..now..cuz..i was not thinking he would be traded...seems they are..a bit ahead..of where i am......as usual

5. Will this be Seager’s swan song?

On a team that has undergone near-complete turnover in the past few years, third baseman Kyle Seager stands as the lone holdover from when Dipoto took over in September 2015. Seager has been a steadying figure and often underrated veteran at the hot corner for nine and a half seasons in Seattle, and he ranks in the top four of the franchise leaders in hits, home runs and RBIs. The Mariners value his leadership on their young squad.

But Seager doesn’t seem to fit in the long-term plans for a team building for the future, given his seven-year, $100 million contract expires after this season. All the other veterans in similar situations have long since been shipped away for younger help, but Seager’s $15 million team option for 2022 turns into a guaranteed player option if he’s traded, and that has limited trade possibilities.

Whether that changes now that the 33-year-old is in the final stages of that deal remains to be seen, but Dipoto already has acquired a potential replacement in Ty France. The 26-year-old France figures to fill the designated hitter role for now, but the clock seemingly is ticking louder on Seager’s time in Seattle.
