The Skins are probably a Trey Hendrickson trade away from adding a fourth Lombardi. I just don't know how you can justify going into next year with no 1st or 2nd round draft pick.

If we don't trade for Hendrickson I would rather look at Matt Judon and Za'Darius Smith both are only 32 compared to Miller who is 36
I'd take any one of the three. At this point we just need someone to give us what Fowler Jr. did last year.

Having Von and Wagner in the same locker room would be invaluable. Smith probably has a little more in the tank. I'm not sure about Judon.

Von Miller had 6 sacks while only playing 33% of his teams snaps. Miller had an 83% pass rush on pff.

Matt Judon had 6 sacks on 60% of his teams snaps. He had a sad 54% pass rush and overall 43% on PFF.

Smith had 9 sacks on 52% of his teams snaps. Smith had a 76% on pass rush.

Judon is a fat hell no. Smith is likely to be more expensive than I want to pay.

I don't wanna hear any Lattimore complaints or Amos is a bust if we go into the season with what we have now at edge

Who? Armstrong got outplayed by Fowler.
Who exactly is going to be our 10 sack guy this year if Armstrong goes missing again
Do we need a 10’sack guy ? Or can we have multiple 5 sack guys

To get past Philly and Detroit, yes.
To beat the Bills, Ravens, Chiefs, yes.
Von Miller and Armstrong's stats are nearly identical.
I like what we have but until we draft a edge, i truly believe we need one more guy.
These guys in their 30s can still play, look what Van Noy is doing in Baltimore

Eagles leading sack guy was Josh Sweat with 8. They only had three players with 5 or more sacks last season. So, assuming they are the best team in the league, why do we need a 10 sack guy to beat any of those teams?

Armstrong and Miller have nowhere close to the same stats…per play. Miller only played in 279 snaps. Armstrong played in 635 snaps. Also, not all snaps are the same. Fowler came in as a pass rush specialist so he was in more pass plays than Armstrong.

What you said about Armstrong and Miller is exactly what i mean. Why not give Miller a 1yr deal, his tackles/sacks were close to matching Armstrong despite the snap difference. Fair point about Fowler, its something Von could possibly continue.

As far as why i think we need an edge that can at least get 10 sacks, is because much like Sweat, who you showed interest in...he showed up in the post season and made plays. Philly has the best rb in the game, and the defensive line/secondary is excellent.

obviously miller isn't the long term solution and im not sure Trey is either...but addressing that IMO is the primary way we win a superbowl. If we beat Philly in a NFCC game, we should be able to beat the AFC in the superbowl

And also the question should be ... should our team be built to beat Philly idk but I take building for sustain wins rather then focus on what we need to do to beat Philly ...We had no business beating the lions this year but we did ..

Yeah I read it again after and realized you were supporting signing Miller. Miller’s body may be better off preserved on a 30% snap count. Armstrong may get more sacks if being put in a position (passing down) to make more sacks.

I was definitely for Sweat.

My point is you don’t need a ten sack guy to win.
