That 2nd could be used to pick my guy TE JaTavion Sanders. Temping. Allen is a good player coming off a a down year. I'm legitimately torn.
Peters with 2 more picks.....lol

Peters will literally be a kid on Christmas morning. Dude will be up at HQ at 1 am pacing the floors munching on snickers bars...I can't wait.

Being a homer here, but I bet this draft class will be better than anything we have had in the past 25 years.

If you get a Macdonald as a HC. , you have to get a great young OC . Then have a plan to replace OC’s as yours get poached .

The NFL is seen as a offensive trending league even though 3 of the top scoring defenses are in the final 4

I would be happy with a Slowik , A Johnson , or a Macdonald , all would have potential to be good HC’s

i,m all in for johnson.after 4 years of a defensive minded coach,a change is needed.
I don't think Rivera was a defensive minded coach at all.
I really don't think he was coaching while he was here at all and simply holded his arms on the sideline...lol

We have the worst defense in the league and it is the bigger problem than the offense.

Pulling for Macdonald.
I actually think MacDonald may be a dark horse for the Seattle job. Everyone is talking about Quinn and Vrabel to Seattle. If the Seahawks really wanted them, they would have hired one of them by now.

That is my concern with Macdonald and or any defensive coach.

That has to be a pressing question for any coach candidate.

Seems to be easier to get an DC more than an OC.

I am kidding.

My point is that he was so bad, I don't think it mattered if he was a defensive minded or offensive minded head coach.

I heard Leslie Frazier wants to coach again. Last time he was in the league he was Buffalo's DC and they were ranked #1 in the league. Hope Ben takes a look.

I agree on that.
I think it is realistic that 2 of these 3 go back to the coordinator ranks

Slovik
Macdonald
Johnson

I think ATL made a big mistake along with LV.
CAR had to take what they got. I am not sure what NE was thinking other than trying to ride the coat tails of the BB coaching tree.
Not sure what TN was thinking either. Not a bad hire but not a good one. The LV, ATL, and NE were the big misses in my opinion.

What I am trying to say is that the coaching hires have been odd this season and I believe several mistakes were made.

Martindale or Vrabel would be my picks.

My concern is that whoever we hire brings in coaches they personally know instead of the best talent available. Needs to be a good mixture with a lean toward talent. Bringing in your buddies won't work...especially on defense given our current state.

It is a nepotism league, I am fully aware, but you have to balance getting the best talent and a support system of people you trust.
Rivera was awful at this.

That is why I feel the staff question is critical for peters. The best leaders surround themselves with the best talent and accept opposition as part of the job. Surrounding yourself with yes men is a quick path to failure.
