At the12 minute mark-Fuck, I just lost 1000 vucks.
At the 1:30 mark- Cool, I get to go smoke and watch OT. Maybe there is hope for my 1000 vucks.
After my smoke- WTF? Why are they all shaking hands; they never do this before an overtime...rewind and see goal. Cool, won some vucks after all!

thats a nice poem

You sure? I thought the Dodgers also had scouts there. There was a tweet yesterday, you might have posted it, saying the Rangers were also interested. Maybe they have already scouted him?

I'm sure there were scouts but Cherington was the only GM.

:L

My bad, didn't make that connection. As much as I like Jon Daniels, I'd rather have my scouts there and Jon working the phones for the upcoming trade deadline. I bet a lot of teams have their best guys there. No one can negotiate with him yet, per MLB, so no use having a GM there. If he wants to get paid he won't sign the first deal, so others know they can come in and outbid the first guy.

Are you just still upset that No city in all of sports embaresses themselves like Boston when it counts the most?

Here it is again...

LOL...as if the biggest post season embarrassment in sports history didn't happen...

The Cards and Pirates have 16 games left vs each other.

What that means is that one, or if the Reds get hot, both of those teams are going bye bye as far as contending for the division.

Am I the only one who won't be the least bit surprised to see Jose Reyes struggle and underwhelm for the rest of the season?

The Boston Bruins have the most recent choke jobs in professional sports blowing a 3-0 series lead in the playoffs.

I'm not sure Texas opens up the bank vault to him, but bet they try to get him. I'm not dumb enough to think we couldn't find a spot for him, but around the time he is actually ready to play Texas figures to be trying to find spots for current rotation guys. We could have

Yu
Holland
Grimm
Tep
Martinez
Ogando
Lewis

Not sure they pay "any cost" to get the kid like they did with Yu, but you never know. I don't think the new international signing rules apply to this kid, so bidding could get crazy.

If only the Pirates can take 10 of those games it'll make enough of a difference. How many do the Reds have left vs St. Louis?

If only the Boston GM was there, it's a pretty safe bet he'll suck

The yankees were there too....other teams sent their assistant GM's and/or scouting directors. "a million teams, the world is here to see him pitch today" AL Executive quoted by Rosenthal in that article.

I'd expect them to be players...as well as all the big market usual's, because the signing doesn't affect a teams spending cap on international picks...highest bidder scenario here...

Until proven otherwise

ARod and Tex played arguably as well in Rangers uni as they did in Yankee pinstripes.

And neither of those guys seem to be playing much anymore despite being mid contract.
