A-Rod missed half the season, they had NO starting pitching, Mariano was gone all season and they only had worthless failed starters like Joba and Roberston in the pen... this team was lucky to win 60 games, let alone make it to the ALCS! it was nearly as big a miracle as the 80 US hockey team.

I've been shocked that there hasn't been more interest in this free agent Cuban pitcher with the three names who just did an exhibition in Tijuana. The Red Sox GM was the only one there. Our freakin GM could have driven half an hour to go see this guy but didn't do it. This guy could be starting in July for any team in the bigs.
