With the Clemson Tigers mud hole stomping of Alabama in last night's College Football Playoff National Championship game; does Clemson's victory vindicate the Irish of being a horrible pick and didn't deserve to be in this year's playoff over Georgia and Ohio State, because this year Clemson was just to powerful for anyone to handle or Notre Dame was a fraud and didn't belong in the playoff? Last Night was a unique game.

Clemson "won" the game. But Bama also lost the game.

When Clemson regained the lead at 21-16...Bama went
to shakey ground. They couldn't mentally handle, Clemson
hanging with them.

The offense was pressed to score every time they got the ball.
If OU hadn't started on a shakey foot, they might have hung
better with Bama.

In the playoffs Bama gave up 78 points.

Bama didn't come out flat. They fell behind...missed an
extra point and still regained the lead in the 1st quarter,
but when Clemson went back on down and scored, that
bothered Bama.

After that Clemson just shrunk the field on Bama. When they
got them in close, they took away Bama's running game, and
the Tide had no answer.

No. Put them in any P5 conference title game and they don’t make the playoff. They could’ve realiatically won the PAC 12 but that conference is a joke and was bound to be left out.

I was really worried after the 1st quarter because other than capitalizing on Tua's early mistake Alabama was beating us in all phases of the game except kicking extra points. They had forced us to punt twice and had scored on two of three drives fairly easily. Credit the Clemson staff for making the right adjustments that allowed the 2nd quarter to be flipped. Without those adjustments we don't build the lead that forces Bama's hand in the second half.
