Notre Dame going to Big Ten

I don't think this is ever going to happen. I was researching how long the big ten and Notre dame have been trying to close the deal and I was stunned to see this same talk has been going on for over 80 years. I just don't see this ever being done.

It's time for the Big Ten to move on and look else where. I wouldn't mind seeing KU get an invite due to their B-ball play.

I think it is ever going to happen, its going to be when all the major conferences (Big10, SEC, Pac10) go to 16 teams. If they don't do it with the major conference alignment that is coming, I dont see it happening anytime soon.

Yea, I don't see a spot for independents to work when these super-conferences form. With the current BCS system, you can accommodate it with special qualification rules but that won't fly with 4-5 conferences sending champions that each feel deserve a shot at the title.
