Any good teams that Iowa has also scored 27 on...NO. and let's not pretend that Iowa is BCS worthy. All of these teams would school NIU.

Eh scored 24 on OSU, 24 on Minnesota. I get your point BUT any team with a capable offense, a GREAT QB and a good coaching staff is dangerous. People seem to think NIU got hugely outgunned in last year Orange Bowl. I mean it was a 1 score game with like 10 minutes left. While I dont think NIU would beat most of those teams on the OPs list I wouldnt be shocked if they did.

It looks like they will get there again. How do you like their chances vs the following opponents:

Oregon
Stanford
Ohio State
Texas A&M
Baylor
Clemson
Missouri

If any of those teams show up to play they would crush NIU. But I could see any of those teams have a big let down at having to play NIU in a meaningless Bowl game and losing. And yes, a BCS Bowl game against a NIU would be seen as a no win situation for any of those teams.

I mean, NIU was 10-2 in 2011... pretty good season, but lost to Wisconsin 49-7 in a neutral site game. That's indicative of the talent gap we're talking about here. Jordan Lynch is good but he can't win alone. And their QB a couple years ago tore up the MAC too.

2011 Wisconsin was better ( IMO ) than any of the teams on the OP's list but I get your point. This NIU team is light years better than the 2011 team and better than last years team too but itd still be tough for them to beat any of those teams. Not impossible but tough for sure.

I haven't heard many people talk about 2011 Oregon being much better than 2013 Oregon. What makes you think they are? (Because we know that 2011 Wisconsin wasn't better than 2011 Oregon).

I actually do think 2011 Oregon was better than this years Oregon team. The 2011 Badgers lost 2 regular season games basically on Hail Marys which is pretty fucking unlucky and that team had a GREAT offense. Im not sold on this years version of Oregon being better, while the 11 Ducks lost 2x they also played 4 top 10 teams and 6 top 25 teams and had a much more difficult schedule. Its not a given but I simply like the Oregon team more because they were deeper at the skill positions imo.
