I'm from the Eric Mangini school with how he deals with people in his new media job. He would ask, and I'm asking now, why does it always have to be one or the other with so many people? Why can't it be both? I guess I would answer that question by saying it has to be one or the other because that's the simplest and quickest way of looking at it for alot of people.

I may have misinterpreted your response, Chris - my initial question was meant to suggest it is in fact both and thus in Cutler's case the question is which one is more responsible.

I liked your response and agree with it - It is both but to avoid an argument that most people can't keep up with it is just easier to say it is one or the other.

Alex Smith was tackled for a sack near the front row of the stands today and you can bet some nimrod is going to look at the sack stats and start ripping the O'line. It happens all the damn time.

I didn't get to say this in time but I couldn't have disagreed more with John Harbaugh to go for that. I'd have kicked it there. Would have been a 49-yard FG. Now they still need two more scores.
