As disappointed as I am for Pittsburgh, I think I'd have been even more disappointed had the Cubs lost.

I didn't get plunking Arrieta with a pitch. Did the Pirates really think he was intentionally throwing at their players? Or was it the desperate act of a team trying to knock him off his game? Seemed kinda bush league. Any sympathy I felt for them disappeared at that point.

It was the latter. Chumps got desparate and resorted to their usual BS

Its gonna be interesting, Cub nation all worried about who will pitch other than Jake and LEster, bullpen starts over throwing Hendricks and Hammel in a start, but Haren owned the Cards his last start, Hammel and Hendricks also got wins over the last two series.

Sucks to be pittsburg, but throwing at Arrieta made it easier to see them go off on vacation. There was no reason Jake wanted to put anyone on base, but for a guy that only hit 10 all year, with his control, I can see their side and Pittsburg knew Maddon was not gonna pull him, they had to try to get him off his game. More concerned how Arrieta claimed these playoff balls were slippery, might have been the reason Cole did not have his command.
