They simply won't stop.

Cards gonna lose a game where they smacked arrieta for 4 runs in not even 6 innings wow.

Who is pitching for the cardinals in game 4? Is it going to be Lyons? Lynn pitched an inning in game 2 I believe.

Windy City indeed. I forget which homer was the down and in pitch to the lefty but thats the one pitch that the Cards had no business throwing. I think it was the one with Rizzo

It looks like Lackey will be facing off against Hammel tomorrow. It will be interesting if Lackey repeat his dominant performance on short rest.

I think Fowler is swinging for the fences WAY too much lately. I know that's an odd complaint on a night where we hit 6 homers and he hit 1 of them, but still... we need him on base.

Announcers last night were gushing about how good Tony Cruz was last night and I wanted to puke. He is captain mendoza line and no sane fan would want him in there instead of Molina.

Cards really needed to win game 2 or game 3. Lackey on the road instead of game 5....not good. Lackey is 4-0 against the Cubs this season IIRC and hasn't given up a HR to them yet but he is a better pitcher in STL

A Cardinals series win at this point should probably be seen as a choke by the Cubs if it happens

really impressive game, the bats finally get Jake a win. 6 home runs in a game a new record, Soler 9 straight times getting on base, 14 total bases, a new record. Fuck 100 years, this team is doing what no team has ever done in history.

Yeah, Fowler went up there trying to hit 4 home runs. Get on base period. This is why he never finds a home. Great game, sure wish Russell would have stopped at second, but Javy hopefully got the butterflies out of his system, and got two hits, so it cannot be all bad. I just wonder if Maddon might start LaStella at second and move Castro to short if Addy cant go.

What the heck you talking about...the wind was blowing out to right field, it didn't help any ball to left. Castro and Bryant's hit bombs. The wind probably hurt Schwarbers ball. The only one that it really helped was Fowlers

I looked over the schedule and that was the first time all year the Cardinals scored 6 runs and lost a game. I think most people were expecting a 3-1 type of affair and not an 8-6 game. 99% chance the wind was a big factor for both teams.

But then again...playoff baseball is unpredictable
