Most of the Braves lineup didn't exactly cover themselves in glory either. They had a .686 OPS as a team and scored only 17 runs in 5 games. Markakis/McCann (.372 and .485 OPSes respectively) were absolutely worthless at the plate and Donaldson also went 3-19 with a .641 OPS.

Oh Yeah I know. Markakis and McCann won’t be back. Acuna,DansbySwanson, Adam Duvall, and Ozzie ALBIES are the only ones that showed up.

But in Game 4 Freeman was up twice with a 4-3 lead with a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs and didn’t come through. And up once in the 9th in a tie game and a runner at 3rd and didn’t come through.

Then in Game 5 Foltynewicz gets the DP ground ball he needs by Molina to get out of the 1st only down 1-0 and Freddie Botched it.


He lost a lot of Braves fans and he ain’t getting me back until next October if he comes through

You guys won the series fair and square. Doesn’t change the fact that our superstar player had multiple chances to put the series away and choked. It’s a tough pill to swallow

Can’t understand why anyone could be annoyed by a guy who is a winner and plays like one, daily. Unfortunately, one real good guy on a team where four of five starting pitchers are true dildos just slips into the background because .500 teams are boring and go nowhere. A super star on a winner is god.

Yeah, I didn't say there was a logical reason, I just found him annoying when he was on the Nationals. Probably because he was on the Nationals.
There's also guys who are only likable if they are on your team. You respect their abilities, but don't necessarily like them. Len Dykstra and Pete Rose are good examples. Hated Mets Len Dykstra, loved Phillies Len Dykstra. Hated Reds Pete Rose, loved Phillies Pete Rose. (of course my opinion on both of those examples as human beings is a little different. They both have some flaws, to say the least.)
