That might be a little of an exaggeration. He was definitely the king of the liars of the steroid era but is Rae Carruth still alive?
I wonder if there are any remaining Expos fans that are happy by this? I suspect it just angers them.
Interesting stat. But they beat Brewers, Dodgers, and Cards in the post where it counts, and will likely beat HOU/NY in the WS.
Oh, it was the same team except in game 1 and game 5
Braves had issues, too
Yeah, its kinda like the NFL. It doesn't really matter what you do in the regular season. The Patriots lost to the Lions, Dolphins, Titans, Jags and Steelers but when the playoffs came around they got serious and created blueprints to beat the Chiefs and Rams.Interesting stat. But they beat Brewers, Dodgers, and Cards in the post where it counts, and will likely beat HOU/NY in the WS.
They're not likely to beat anything. They will be underdogs so to say they're likely to beat the Yanks or Stros is ridiculous
It's all subjective. Who actually shows up has a lot to do with it. IMO, Nats awesome starters in Sanchez, Scherzer, Strasburg, and Corbin will beat HOU/NY in the WS.
Post stats so far:
WSH 10 games, 8-2, .243/.315, 79 hits, 45 runs, 8 HR, 43 rbi; 2.90 ERA
NYY 8 games, 5-3, .255/.347, 53 hits, 33 runs, 10 HR, 31 rbi; 2.29 ERA
HOU 6 games, 4-2, .217/.286, 57 hits, 26 runs, 10 HR, 23 rbi; 3.38 ERA
I guess no one has checked his crawl space yet. But he's like 35 and still runs hard to first base every time so he can't be all badI’m not going to just give Braun a pass just because he hasn’t been caught killing anyone yet. There’s no telling what that guy has done. He’s a monster.
yeah that whole steroids era showed us that there are a lot of liars and just plain "not good" people in baseball. They'll say anything to protect their legacy and income from baseball, right up until the minute they are caught.I'd not put Ryan Braun up there no
I think the worse thing the Nationals could've done is sweep the series given the Yankees and Astros will likely go for another week or so. Reminds me a lot of the Rockies back in 07 when they ran through the NL but cooled of waiting so long for the AL to finish and ended up losing their hot streak. If the AL series goes to game 7 and the Nats have almost 2 weeks off they're gonna be hurting to maintain their momentum.
The Cardinals did stink it up but you have to give credit for the Nationals pitchers stepping up and shutting down the reason why the Cards made it past the Braves.
I still think the Brewers would have given the Nationals a run for their money
