He had several surgeries on it because of a benign mass. He can still see with his left eye.

Rough game, but it's not surprising for a 20-year-old rookie starter. I can't wait to see what he can do over a full season next year. He's pitched as well as you could hope for from a 19/20 year old this season (115 ERA+, 9.8 K/9, 3.31 FIP).
