Cespedes has been a huge help to the Mets, but the whole "he makes everyone better" narrative is insane. If Manny couldn't win NL MVP for what he did for the Dodgers in '08 (not that he should have), then why should Cespedes?

I agree completely.Cespedes has been a huge help to the Mets, but the whole "he makes everyone better" narrative is insane. If Manny couldn't win NL MVP for what he did for the Dodgers in '08 (not that he should have), then why should Cespedes?
So what you're saying is..."steroids"
I agree completely.
The point of this is to demonstrate that Cespedes doesn't deserve 100% of the credit. The rest of the team has been hitting well, too. Granderson, especially, isn't getting nearly enough of the love that he's due.
He's been extremely patient. Just what you need from leadoff.Grandy's quietly having a very good year. For all the love Tex/A-Rod were getting for their comebacks, Grandy's having a much better year and has gotten little love.
They don't look that angry, do they?So what you're saying is..."steroids"
Not angry, just...manlier.They don't look that angry, do they?
Big series starts tonight....need to take 2 of 3 from the Yankees.
Congrats @Huwaryu_in_exile, @yoga≈surfing, @Nasty_Magician and any other Mets fans on here. Good luck against the Dodgers.
As for the Nats, time for some turnover for a huge chunk of the roster. Gonna be a real interesting winter in DC.
