Niners Trade for Stevie Johnson

Well Fail yesterday, Today is a start of a great night. Great job Baalke. I knew we would do something big I just didn't think it would be a trade for a Big WR like Johnson. When Healthy he is a 1000 yard receiver.

My guess is to assume that we either go with two of these three with our 2 2nd round picks:

OG, CB, rush LB

Lawrence, Desir, and Filo-Sua would be who I would like to see targeted if not a WR.

I put down Filo-Sua only because I have not heard a peep about extending Iupati and he is up for a contract VERY soon.

The only part of me that is sad is I really wanted a young, good receiver in this years draft. It would help our cap situation and our long term situation at the WR position.

I think they are going to move up and get a D-Lineman several first round talents still available in the 2nd round. Then maybe trade one of the 2nd's for future pick and if they want move back into the 2nd or up in the 3rd for a player, but who knows. I don't think they will take a WR in the 2nd round not any more.

Got to give it to Baalke he knows how to trade for WRs. Boldin for what a 7th or 6th and now stevie Johnson for a 4th. Now ne just needs to learn how to draft one.


Hey I take it as a positive. Baalke was like screw it I cant draft well at the position so I will just trade for a proven already good WR.

While I never posted it, I actually said to myself, I wonder if the niners will ask about SJ and make a play for him?

But I wasn't necessarily for a move for him either... the trade, if done, looks fine to me....
