Big weekend for the Crawler.

I suspect this thread will be pretty quiet this weekend except for the occasional Mariners update. I'll actually be able to talk about the Astros in the game thread without pissing people off :suds:

Blue Jays have decided to keep Aaron Sanchez in the rotation. With the addition of Liriano, they will be rolling with a 6 man rotation. Sucks for my fantasy team. Less starts from Happ / Stroman. Is anyone else currently using a 6 man rotation? Don't see it used very often.

As many injury issues as we have in the rotation; Holland, Darvish, Griffin, Lewis, Perez in year 2 after TJ surgery, we should probably consider it down the stretch in September if we get to a big enough lead

If everyone gets healthy, thats 7 starters, if you add Hamels & Harrell, who i suspect becomes a long man, which works because we might have a couple guys, Lewis & Holland, that might need to be eased into things, just need to make sure they aren't back to back in the rotation

What do they really have going for them? They have two solid SPs and a BP with Willhemsen in it.

I don't see them really contending, but they're still gonna hang around for a bit.

this thread has been quiet for a few days. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I've had issues trying to access the site. The past few days I've received a " we're moving to a new server" notification whenever I tried to log in. I didn't catch the Colorado games anyway, been very busy with work stuff.

This win streak seems to be a very fortunate one. The Mariners have won 5 games in a row, including a late inning affair tonight. I bet Kyle Seager can't wait to play us again.

So Mariners have the easiest remaining schedule in all of baseball. Looks like they may be a bigger threat to Texas than the Astros the rest of the way for the AL West title.

Not really. Texas has only 3 games left against Houston. Houston and Seattle play each other several more times this year. They'll basically beat up on each other. Plus, if I recall Seattle faces more contending teams on the road too.
