Thus far we've had a pretty good board here with the restrictions, so before I give my answer I have a few questions .
1. Are we to be restricted to the team or will matters that are NFL related to be included? I remember that there were many comments on Ray Rice, Kapernick, and more recently E. Elliot. Rice and Kapernick as possible signees here, with Elliot's situation as related to our fortunes this year.
2. Is the "Name Change" thread and all associated references to the same considered political?
3. What happens if/or more likely when this team is drawn into other matters spreading through the league?
4. Will attack commentary on editorial writers, reporters and the like be restricted?
5. Leeway? How much or how little? Restricted to that point where someone doesn't like it, or continued becaues it's agreeable?

1) no you are restricted solely to team matters
2) to , me the name change thread IS NOT a "political "thread but it does deal with the team thread and it is political
3) if the team is drawn into mattesr that are spreading across the league , then to me that is about redskins football . IE a skins players kneels for the anthem or gets arrested , or has a domestic violence or a player owner of coach or FO person comments on an issue then as i see it its fair to talk about it
4) i attack the hell out of commentators (mike wise ) and (JLC ) so if it pertains to our team then go for it .
5) leeway is a little harder for me to explain . it would be case by case i guess sty but a lot depends on what we decide
if we decide no political thread then i will nip political talks in the bud as i have been lately . i dont think anyone wants to hear about Trump vs obama vs HRC and liberal /conservative crap
i hope this helps you out sty
i tried buddyOK, then I vote no to a political thread just as long as we can have these cross-over discussions in the "Off Topic Thread" References to "political correctness"also are relegated to that forum and when these matters do come up there is an immediate determination by the mods relating to what's allowed. (There's 3 of you so no ties)
Beyond that, I want to repeat my earlier statement relating to how well this board is and has been run. I really appreciate the responses that you've given to my concerns.....Thanks!
so yay or nay ?I would not worry about this too much. These type of posts stand out now because this is a very slow period. In about a month - when real football is being played - these type of posts & threads will get lost in the shuffle. At that time there will be tons of new threads & a lot more activity. It is all good.
i will keep it open for another day then see what happens
