Nope. LTIR just means you can add salary past the cap equal to his contract. The thought was that he wouldn't be coming back before the playoffs because at the time he was put on, they were looking to add someone at the deadline. If they had added someone with a high enough cap at the deadline, they would be over the Cap when backstrom came back, but in the playoffs there is no cap.
