I've checked out some of the EA forums for this, and there are strangely a lot of people happy with it. Always going to have the haters, but it seems to be much more well-received than in recent years.

Slightly off-topic EASHL question: My club currently has 3 players ready to go. A playmaking center (me), a two-way d-man and a freaking amazing goalie. We run the 1-2-2 trap and we've been discussion what type of players would work best to fill out a full 6-man roster. Any suggestions would be great.

I think, now this is just me, but I'd get another 2-way D-man then get either a grinding or 2-way RW, and then a sniping LW. With the 1-2-2, either the RW or the C (you) could play the 1..

It generally is me that presses down low (I'm not lazy, I'm tired). Thanks for the advice!

No problem. I'd love to be in one of those leagues, but I can never get enough people to fill out a full lineup and it's not as fun when there are a few comp. players

We do it on Xbox Live. You're welcome to jump in with us. Most games have just 3 or 4 a side, but those rare 6 on 6 games can get scrappy.

The thing that impressed me the most was the AI. It seems like the computer defense is much more competitive, forcing teams to pass more often. That's a huge changed from the ice dancing that had been going on to score goals.

Also, updated lineups is what makes me want this game more than anything I think

Even if they continued to update the rosters on NHL 11, I'd still put 12 on the must-have list. The game has slowly been turning into a defensive battle than a red light fest, much like the real game. The true test will be online though!

The game has been about glitch goals and big hits online for the last couple of years, it's nice that they're giving the advantage to the teams that can move the puck and play responsibly now.

Sorry to hear that. Don't suppose you still have the warranty?

Does everybody get the same players in their pack of cards in this demo for HUT or did I hit the jackpot? I got Quick, Lidstrom, Cam Fowler, Dougie Hamilton, Lidstrom, Lucic, St.Louis, Tavares, Perry, and Stamkos!

I had Malkin in mine. Let me check who else... Oh wait. Nevermind.

Ok, it's a good thing I don't keep guns in the house!

This was a refurb that I've had for about 2 years, so I guess it was time. Just shitty timing for me. Looks like I'm dropping $200 to play NHL 12 instead of $60.
