I'm looking forward to the days again where no one wants to let the dawgs off their leash because they are rabid beasts. Heading back in that direction, but still some work to do.

Have they finally released the whole list yet?

Just the first half. 50-41 will be this coming Thursday. I suspect it should be completed on June 27.

Ok, Richard Sherman at #50 is an absolute joke (especially since he's #3 at CB). I still wouldn't put Cam Newton on the list....but hey the list's a joke.

The list was voted on by the players themselves right? Having Sherman be that low on the list just tells you how much he's really in the heads of much of the league. If they can't separate his mouth from his game then he has them right where he wants them doesn't he?

I've said it elsewhere, but lists and rankings don't win games. And Sherman loves to have a chip on his shoulder so if this gives him more motivation to stuff the votes back in the faces of every WR and QB in the league they by all means dump that man as low as you can.

Yes indeed, I believe Sherman is going to have a killer year. He always said he lost out on the draft because he didn't get the pub. He's made sure that won't happen again. I just worry that he working his way to a contract that is better to say no to. Hope I'm wrong. I hope we can resign him...I have my doubts...

I am actually surprised he made it at all with all of the "friends" he makes... I think he is in a good spot at 50 all things considered.

Fair point. His mouth probably got him knocked down a few notches on some of those ballots, even though this is a list of the 100 best players for 2013, which says to me that we're talking about how guys perform on the field; and a bias against Sherman for yapping shouldn't factor into the vote.

I am shocked he is so low. And did I read there are other corners still on the list??? WOW

Watch out NFC West cause ET felt slighted with his ranking and YOU KNOW Sherm feels slighted.

As if this secondary needed anymore motivation!:omg:

Cam newton (especially ahead of RW, who I'm not that high on but believe is solid now and will be a tier or two below elite through his career, or Matt stafford), is a joke. Sherman isn't bad at all at 50. He's had a solid two years but I've always viewed this list as part the year before, part track record, part projection for the future. He has high future potential without a doubt, and has done solid for a couple years, but a good chunk of the people above him will be people who have shown they can sustain that production and are still at a very high level.

Where are you getting the CB rank?

Oh, during the reaction show they stated there were still 2 more CBs to be revealed. They also said there were 6 more 49ers, 2 more TEs, 1 more Olineman and 8 more QBs.

Ok, just couldn't find that information so was curious where it came from.

If he was healthy I could see Revis ahead of him, but I'm curious who they'll actually name. I don't actually think it's that bad of a spot for him, though. He is a very good corner with good potential, and you can make a case he's near the top of his position, but I don't think it's clear cut enough that he should be markedly higher. I also couldn't find who decided the list. Is it done in a way bias for his mouth could drop him a bit?

It was voted on by the players during the week of the pro bowl. It's not that big a deal, as Tim Tebow was on the list last year. His #50 rank just caught me by surprise. I didn't expect top 10 like Revis was last year (Revis is 67 this year), but I was thinking top 30.
